We may all have experienced this rat or mice problems at home. They spoil the kitchen things and freighten us running here and there swiftly. some grow cats to deal them and some have traps. The question is about the mouse caught in the trap. How will you kill that rat now? What are all the different ways possible and which is the fool proof one? Am I cruel with this post?

Your kindness is noted, professor2010. I like Lord ganesha too but I don't want to release those mice for that single reason. Just I can't dare to see it killed by drowning into water or by other means, I too will choose to leave them at a distant place like you.

You need to know the way to kill a rat? What happened to you? there are many ways you can kill or catch a rat and get rid of it. First thing is to have a cat as pet. Second : have a rat kill ready for them. third : A rat cage!

I have seen people drowning rats in water and I won't say that I hated it because I was so pissed with them I also helped them. That time I was some 8-9 years old. These days we use rat kills!

sanauanu! The post is not inquire about killing a rat. But to discuss all the possible ways of killing the one that is caught in the trap. Even though we hate rats in our house, once caught, they seem to be helpless creatures and one should have a strong heart to kill them. Some leave them to flee at a distant place from their home and some after some streets. Only a few drown them in water or open in front of a cat.

At the age of 8 and 9, that would be fun to watch something like that and you might have enjoyed it even. No, I don't blame you....but that should have been another new scene in your life. But, will you do it now without second thinking? I see it a cruel way to drown it in water.

i think cats are effective at mouse not on rats (they are different in size), presence alone of a domestic cat will scare mouse..but it will not stop rats (big nasty pests) from lurking into your things especially edible/food items,, the best way to not attract them it to seal and store properly those things that attracts them in the first place.. as much as possible throw your garbage right away..keep all foods on the ref. and clean your kitchen all the time..

Prevention is better than cure. That is a wise idea to seal and store things that attract the mouse. And throwing away the garbage item to time will keep our house environment clean. But in rainy seasons, they get into our house through the drainage pipes and scare the whole house. So, we have to trap them.

Mice are such a nuisance to anyone (since they destroy anything), they're pretty scary too... When we have rats, my parents kill them by using rat poison, we don't really catch them.

Yeah, I do think you are a bit cruel!! We used to keep domestic (pet)rats, so I cannot hate any rats, even if wild ones are very dirty. We used to have a mice that lived in the back of our oven and travelled in at free will. Now this was very annoying, because dinners that we had saved to be eaten later would be found with mice dropping sin. Yuck! Such a waste of food too! We put in a humane mouse trap, but never caught it. Eventually it disappeared and we got a new oven. I DEFINITELY think it is worth persuing humane traps. Please give it a chance. I wouldn't want anyone to snap a poor little ouse in half, I just think that is completely barbaric.

leighann! This is the first time, I ever heard of people can grow rats as pet and one can differentiate them as wild and domestic. For me a rat is just a rat which soils our kitchen and threatens us, running here and there. No, there are no traps that cut a mouse into two as a gillettine. All the traps are humans but the killing may not.

grayxenon! I hate the cruel ways of killing the mouse caught in the trap too. Flushing into a toilet, I never heard of. But I have seen people who swing it by their tail and hurt tio the ground and there are people who drown them in a bucket of water. I just want to learn any simple method to extinct them.

Try flypaper it is much less cruel and least messy. But if its a big one, that would never work so just try to call an exterminator since i am sure there are probably almost a hundred mouse on your house if you see a couple of full mature rats.
