do you still remember of ballack performance in 2002 world cup?? because of him, german can go untill final even many people pesimist of their team. but in semifinal when match south korea, he get a yellow card and make he can not play for german in final when meet brazil and many person believe if ballack play in final, maybe the results will be different. maybe
and now when world cup 2010, again and again ballack get bad luck, he can not play in world cup from beginning untill end of german performance because get injury in carling cup final...oh ballack...ballack is unlucky.,.

You seem to be on the side of Germany. One great team to watch anyway. We'll see if he's hanging his boots or putting them on. And how the team plays with him and without him. Germany may not be my favorite but I'm not one to see any player or a great player like Ballack off the field anyway.

Bastian is a rising star from Bayern Munich yes. I would see him as someone very versatile, good as a left winger and equally good on the right. With lots of experiences behind him he should well adapt to the national squad. We'll see how he fares. Wouldn't be that bad anyway.
Have fun watching!

I think this is just not his time. I am sad because i will not be seeing him on the field but he is still one of my favorites.

I think Ballack's luck has been linked with Bayer Leverkusen which was called as Bayer Neverkusen when he used to play. They used to reach all finals and loose in the finals. Ballack has lost in the CL final, World Cup final and semifinals. I just think that for certain people the luck aspect is slightly missing and Ballack happens to be one of those unlucky guys. But for all that he still has had a glittering career and hopes to play in the next Euros in 2 years time.
Cheers!

the ball is round, friend .... team performance can't be measured solely on an individual's performance. I think germany is not always just rely on Ballac
