How do you know if your pet loves you?

My White Shepherd always stay at my (or someone in the house) side, even when i go to bathroom she stay at the door waiting me leaves. She never stay alone and never let anyone in the house alone. :)

My cody and I have been together for now 11 years and he still follows me in every room laying down near my feet all the time. In fact there are times I will play with him hiding from him and he runs around the house looking for me. Its the funniest thing ever. He also protect me by barking each and everytime someone comes to the door. This is his way I think he shows me that he loves me.

when I come down the stairs my rats climb up the side of their cage towards the sound of me coming down stairs. which is very cute, coming into the room to the sight of two sets of four paws, and two ratty tummies.

Hi santos mari chris: I know that my puppy loves me because he is waiting for me in front of the door and I notici his hapiness when I come bakc to the house, he ran through all of the house and then come for me. That is her way of telling you to get out of the couch and play with her. :) But that is real cute of her.

mine licks me and nibbles me with just his front teeth. if im not up by 4am he's on top of me licking my face alll over then he want's to play, not hungry just nibble and play.

we have 8 dogs at home but my favorite is shandi. i don't actually know what her breed is but i love her so much. and i think i'm her favorite too. :) when i don't go home and stay somewhere for the night, when i get back the next day, my mom would tell me that shandi's up all night, guarding my bedroom door, waiting for me to come out and give her her nightly hug. she's pretty jealous too. when our other dogs get my attention first, she won't come to me unless i tell her i'm sorry. i don't know if she actually understands it, but whenever someone else would go to me first, she just walks away. we find this very amusing. :)

R U KIDDING ME. If u don't know by the way your pet is loooking at u , u don't deserve to own that pet. The pet is looking at you ALL THE TIME AND POURING IT'S HEART OUT TO YOU IN EVERY WAY IT KNOWS HOW, U STILL DON'T KNOW....?????????

i can say that my dog loves me because whenever i leave the house and get home, he's always excited coming to me. hehe i can see his tail wiggling and i can see a smile on his face! huh! and also he follows and obeys me and he's always beside me, even if sometimes i nag on him, still he's sweet to me.

I have always had big dogs, so they are outside dogs. But Lola, not only wags her tail when she sees me, but thinks she must perform a circus act to get mt attention. She walks on her hind legs, jumps over me, licks my hands (she knows I don´t like face licking) and prefers to be cuddled even when I´m bringing her food and she´s hungry. I have to remind her its time to eat or else she wouldn´t let go of me.

Hi santosmarichris We had a dog called tommy which was very cute it jumps over me when I return home from the office and it will not leave me to go anywhere because it wants to play with me and I used to feel very happy and felt that how much it loves me and it does the same thing even with my parents,I feel animals cannot speak so they show their love in actions. You are right your pet too is showing its love towards you by watching you.

I have a 5 year old Golden Retriever named Emma Sue. She follows me all over the house. When I get home from work every day, she won't let me into the living room until I give her attention. I can tell she loves me very much. When I lay on my couch, she will also sit by my side and look at me a lot. I know she is protecting me. When I go to bed at night, she lays by the door of my bedroom to protect me also. I would be lost without her! She is my baby, and my child!

Hi .. nice to know about Sam's activity on you ;-) . I swear , pets are the most sweetest on the earth . Enjoy all her activities . I am sure you will always enjoy their love and reciprocation towards you. I don't own any pets now . But I feed the colony dogs . They are so sweet . I love them very much . When they are not around , I miss them terribly.

My dog Bern always gets excited whenever I reach our home from work or anywhere. He's jumps at me and stand at me and he barks while he's tail is waggling, it will take for like 1-3 mins. before he stops. He always wait for me outside the comfort room, he will just lay there waiting for me to get out, I think his guarding me. Whenever I go he will follow me,he makes sure we're on the same room. He sleeps with me in my room but he stays underneath the bed.

my dog pet always greet me and my kids every time we arrive, then my cat would circle around my feet and would curl there. if there are some arguments at home, they would hide but after they would come and brush their body on our legs.

I know mine loves me because my dog "princess" always greets me when i arrive home and runs around to play with me but im pretty confused, i think she is a dog that is easily frightened. Whenever shes doing something and not giving me attention, the moment i touch her suddenly, she squeals. and she actually runs away from us when we have a visitor or when im holding something and i swing or lift it up. I just do not know what to do with my cowardly dog, been pretty hard to play with her when she becomes stiff when you touch her after she wags her tail looking at you, lol. i just leave her alone nowaways and keep and eye on her.

well,if they like being close to you alot or everytime ur around, then i believe that is a definite sign of affection towards their owner

well, it depends on the animal one has. each animal has a different way of expressing themselves and well, as an owner,master or mistress, you have to take time to know ur animal. Spending time with the animal of course will be the best way of getting to know how they respond to different things, their emotions and also their likes and dislikes. but if its one thing i came to find common in all animals, it was the fact that if they like someone, they all seem to react in an excited manner, usually by making some noises. Lack of response from an animal usually shows indifference or lack of closeness to the person.

Your pet is cute and funny . I like her. I also have a dog , he has been at my home for two years. He will run around me ,when I come back every day . And he shows so exciting ,when I play with he . I think this is his way of showing his love to me . I love he very much , he bring me happiness!
