I was thinking on how I would have to change my life style a bit as too my computer has been very bad for my shoulder. The doctor explained to me how the triceps got shortened by having the arm semiflected to use the mouse and keyboard. So Im thinking of having some time off from this adiction and I´m thinking of starting a vegetable garden. Im checking at google about raised beds, compost, different times for planting and so on. That should be helpful to my shoulder. Reading isno good enough, cooking isn´t either. What are your hobbies? Do you change hobbies once in a while? Why? Share, friends!

For the greatest majority of my life, I've had three hobbies that have been the top of my list. These three hobbies are reading, writing and swimming. There are also other things that I go through stages with in my life, but there aren't any other hobbies that I have stuck with as long as I've stuck with those three things. I've been a swimmer since I was nine years old, I've been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember and I was in elementary school when I started writing for the first time.

Two our of your three for me! I swimm little but I learned to read when I was three and I haven´t stopped. A long time ago, after I had a university degree, a husband and two almost grownup kids, I asked myself what I wanted to be when I grew up. So I started to study literature and then began to write.I had written since forever, of course, but this time it was done seriously.

Hi Dorann, Writing...or poetry writing is one of my past time before. I wrote lots of poems and tried composing songs when i was in my highschool days. Inasmuch as i love swimming, i am not that good in it but i know basic swimming techniques.

Sorry to hear u are going to have to cut back on your mylot. U know u will be missed by all of us. Starting a garden will be good in alot of ways but hard work.YEARS AGO I USE TO DO ALOT OF NEEDLEWORK, CROSSstiching & embroidery but i actually just burnt myself out on it. I probably couldn't see well enough to do it now if i wanted to but i don't, lol. I have alwaYS READ ALOT but mylot has taken the place of alot of my reading even tho i always have a book started. I want say anything about the wild days of being a young divorcee & having a big time, some of that is x-rated.

I have joints that hurt (not terribly). I take aglucosamine and condroitin powder when I remember. The doctor also gave me calcium and vitamin D (that one is easier to take as its a pill once a day). I must have a bit of arthritis, but not very painful.

I´d NEVER cut YOU out of my postings, sweetie. It´s just that I´ll have to do some breaks and exersise the d*** shoulder. I used to knit and sew but I think it was more because I wanted to be beautiful with little money. What I have always loved is to read and write. And now thisa mylot is SO rewarding. You are SO part of my life!

I guess you could say I have several hobbies. I don't really change hobbies; the time I spend with each one just changes. I guess my all-time favorite hobby is model building. It's really my first love because I got into the hobby when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old and I'm 42 now. Another hobby I have just recently started is fishkeeping. And I've been putting in quite a bit of time with it recently. I also collect movies and I like to read.

I read educational stuff, mostly history. My favorite history subject to read about is World War II. Most of my library is made up of books about the second world war. But, I've also read stuff related to current events like politics and such and I've read stuff related to science. When I need a change from that I'll read a little fiction. It's funny you should mention planes because I'm currently building a model plane. But, my interest in model building isn't just limited to airplanes. I'll build a model of just about any subject....planes, ships, cars, military, sci-fi, etc....and have over my lifetime. I have approximately over 130 kits that are waiting to be built, from all different subject areas.

I think my favorite hobby is football. I have played football since going to school and I don't seem to be getting tired of this game. Football is a good way to relieve the stress and improve your physical condition. The game teaches us many valuable skills, like teamwork, ability to estimate, thinking. I also like to play bass guitar and sing, these two things are also good for expressing your thoughts and feelings. Playing with a band gives me a lot of positive emotions.

I absolutely adore reading! It may not sound like a very exciting hobby but it is my favourite pastime along with writing of course. What I do here every day is another great hobby of mine, anything that includes reading and/or writing makes my heart sing and I believe everybody’s heart should sing every now and again!

I am sorry that your arm has been painful that that your computer activities make it ache even more. I think it is a lovely idea to create a vegetable garden. My favorite hobby is traveling. I am just about to fly off to Vancouver in a couple of days time. I love reading novels and travel guide books. I like writing stories. I enjoy walking my dogs along the coastal footpaths and going to the countryside. I like going onto my laptop to sites like excellent My Lot. I gained a new hobby and that is clutter clearing about seven years ago. My hobbies tend to stay the same I think these days. Good luck with your shoulder my dear friend.

Majority of my hobbies stay the same as nowadays. I don't have much trouble with my shoulder or any part of my body. I don't really sit straight while I was with my computer, but I am okay with my lifestyle right now. If I have extra money, I would rather go traveling.

Photography is a wonderful hobby! Has it changed for you with the arrival of the digital camera? Do you still use the old kinds? What kind of research do you do? I am in charge of writing workshops and I know what you mean by learning from them. Take care!

I enjoy photography too and digital cameras make it much easier, as you can just delete a bad photo and you can download them onto your computer to show your friends and family.
