I just came across a new story about a two-headed kitten that was just born. It has two faces, 4 eyes,2 noses 2 mouths. Do you think its cruel to keep this kitten alive?

Well as much as I can say is it's life is a gift, that it was not stillborn. But with such abnormalities it's hard to say how long it will live a "normal" life if at all. I think it would be cruel to keep it alive if the critter is suffering in any manner, as it doesn't know that it's not normal to have it's abnormality.

Yes, I agree. It all depends on if the kitty suffers or not. If it doesn't, it can still have a good life I think. But if the kitty is suffering, then the best thing would be to let it move on. Very interesting case though, I have to say, I have never seen any animal like that before (even though I am sure these things happen from time to time)

I belive the last two posts have sumed it up beautifully. I look at it like i would a human. If your son or daughter were missing an arm or a leg would you end ther life? My guess is that you wouldnt. Just because the cat is abnormal doesnt mean it should have to live and abnormal life. In good health or bad, if it was given the cance of life i think it shoud be incouraged to live it to the fullest.

I agree too. Look at all the human abnormalities. Elephant man. Siamese twins. They lived. or have had help from doctors. I think if they are healthy and can sustain life just because they are different does not mean to end life.
