Music is a popular thing, people thousands of years ago made their own and listened to others, just like ours today. People, have their own tastes and beliefs. Do you guys have a favorite band or song? I am bored of the music that I normally listen to and need some advice. Thanks in advance!

I listen to a variety of things, right now I'm listening to a lot of Glee music (tv show) haha, but most of the times it's a mix of BSB, Frank Sinatra, Linda Eder, Journey, and a bunch of different artists.

I love listeneing to almost any kind of music except for the likes of headbang. Anyway, but my all-time favorites are the songs of soft rock duo Air Supply. I just so love their songs I can replay the CD again and again for the whole day. At times that I am in my sentimental mode, I especially listen to the songs of Barry Manilow. What a nice and soothing voice he has!
But as of todate, I so like this song sang by a local artist here in the Philippines. It's entitiled "Not like the Movies". Given your age group, you might want to listen to it too. here's the link:

I see music the same way I do food. There are certain artists that are my "meat and potatoes" that I can listen to every day and never tire of them. Then I have artists that are like dessert to me that I only listen to occasionally, and finally there is music that I can't listen to, I have to move to it. There is also toxic music out there that I avoid at all costs.
My meat and potatoes music has to have certain elements - violins, acoustic guitars, soft easy tempo. The music I put into this category would include Enya, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Diamond, Don Williams, Maura O'Connell, Fleetwood Mac, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Vivaldi and Pachelbel.
My dessert music includes Wilson Phillips, A-ha, Take That, Matchbox 20, Hootie and the Blowfish, Sarah Brightman, Jim Brickman, Melissa Manchester, Laura Brannigan and Sarah MacLachlan. I can listen to these if I mix them with others but not a steady stream of the same artist.
Now, the dance tunes are artists that I would not usually buy their music but if I go to a dance, I will dance to their music. It's more the songs themselves than the artist. Songs like "Everybody Dance Now" and "Vogue". Since I can no longer dance, these are all but gone from my life.
Toxic stuff sounds like jackhammers to me...any rap or hip hop stuff and certainly some of the harder rock and alternative.

I don't have favorite band but I have a favorite solo artist, she is Charice Pempengco my no.1 idol. You should try to listen to her songs or watch her videos sometimes, she's really amazing!!
