Big Glasses?

So I'm sure we've all seen big-framed sun glasses; they're the "in" thing with sun glasses these day.
I, myself, love them. I own a cateye-esque pair.
But I don't think they look good on everyone. I think big sunglasses look really bad on some people; namely people with smaller cheek bones, or more delicate-looking faces.
What do you think of them?

Personally, I think they do not really look that good, but this is just my sense of fashion. They look really out of the ordinary on someone's face and they are a bit too flashy. I wouldn't want to talk to someone with their eyes behind a big pair of tinted glasses, It just wouldn't look right.

I disagree with you actually. It all depends on the shape. If they are over-sized and the shape doesn't suit your face, they definitely don't look good. I've tried on so many pairs of sunglasses, it isn't even funny. I finally found a pair that fit me. They were over-sized and normally, I have a small face, but the shape fit my face perfectly. I think you just have to find the right type of over-sized glasses to suit your needs.

There is "big" and there is "oversized" and the "oversized" ones look ridiculous. Maybe it's as you say and girls with petite features should avoid this fashion item because for them it's a fashion faux par.
I've noticed too that there is a fine line between "big" and "oversized". It's really important that the glasses fit the face, the "wrap factor" that is, the curve of the glasses. The colour of the lens and the frame can also make a nice pair of sunnies look silly.

I would also say that this big sunglasses does not look good with everyone, they are "in" for sure but not "in" for everyone. People who are too skinny, then this is not meant for them whereas people who has some flesh atleast on their face, they can find it comfortable.

big and oversized sunglasses fit my face frame well.I have a wide, square face.big sunglasses make my face thinner and smaller.they can overpower my big face.I wouldn't look great if I will wear cats eye glasses.it will further emphasize my wide face.

Hello I had one some 20 years ago, big frames, with big photosun glasses were fashion then, but now things have totally changes, all like small rectagular frames with ultra thin synthetic material lens..i am also using that..
Thanks for sharing.

You are right Olisaur. Big framed sun glasses look odd on some faces, especially on small faces with low cheek bones and for short people.

I do like my big glasses too. I don't think i could wear any other type of glasses but i did use to wear the smaller ones. I have a lot of different pairs and some are fake but i enjoy wearing my ED Hardy ones the most as they are the most expensive sun glasses i own and are the cutest ones i like too.
I have some in flower vase in my room and i do like them all.

Yes, I agree with you, they are not for everyone, but on the people who can pull them off, they look great! I think you need to be a bit careful when you choose sunglasses in order to balance the shape of your face and features.
I am lucky enough to look good in oversized sunglasses, and I am really happy about that!
