Have you read the article about the mathematician who made some calculations and predicted the world cup winner?, the article is the following: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-20007499-71.html, do you think that the predictions are ok?
I want to know what do you think about this!

No chance of this predications. He included France going through to the semi finals but I am of the opinion they won't even go through to the next round. It does seem he spent a lot of time working on things but sports can't be summed up in numbers and odds, lose an ease game and it could be the end of your tournament and vice versa.

If mathematicians decided football matches with their calculations, it would be a dull drab logic that the top seed will win most of the time. Football is all about emotions, upsets and character on the day and let's just forget all these calculations and just concentrate on the matches. It is more fun that way.
Cheers!

Somewhere in the discussion I read about the prediction of an astrologer. This is equally interesting. And all the more they add to the excitement of the Games. It's hard to take sides. It's equally hard not to when you have a favorite team to cheer and support for. I just try to be objective. Above all I just want to have fun and enjoy the Games.
