What are you saving for these days?

My dad, a very wise soul, has made it a ritual to question me about what I'm planning to buy with my online earnings. Apparently he noticed that instead of saving for something exactly, I always change my mind with what to buy. Last month's was a tablet PC, the other month's was a very nice mp3 player and just this week that changed to a tablet mouse for my tinkering with animation. As I was staring at the shop's window, my debit card clutched tightly in my hand (lest pickpockets target my so empty wallet) my dad raised his eyebrows and asked me "do you really need that?" Doubtful of my animation skills, I decided to put back my card back in its safe place. Well, thank goodness I did because now I'm drooling over Sony's new compact slr camera. After months of saving for something, I now have enough to contribute for our house's electric bills regularly. And that made my dad smile, with his eyebrows knit in a very endearing way. Of course, that would mean I have to keep my slr fixation secret for now. How bout you? What are you saving for these days?

I am trying to get it so that I can earn so much passive income, that it will cover all of my food costs, and hopefully later on, some other bills.

Well, I eat more than I can earn so its either I seriously earn online or suggest to my dad that I stop college and work already. The latter would get me an earful I'm sure.

Or eat less, or earn more, but both of those would be a pain in the caboose I am sure. I am close to paying off my entire internet bill with passive earnings alone, I have a little ol' trick up my sleeve with a certain site, I do, I do. :D

What me eat less? When pigs start roasting on their own, I'm sure! Aha! a trick huh? do share. I'm earning from freelancing sites so it's not that trickling. I amaze them with my overzealousness until they have no choice but to hire me.

Right now I am just paying off my credit card that got so high last year. I moved the balance to a low interest card and I hope to have that mess paid off by the end of the year and keep it paid off. And then I can start saving for something.

I hope that goes well for you. I'm not a believer of credit cards (it's still a relevantly new idea here in the Philippines). I was raised to only buy things that I want when I have the cash. Thank goodness I live in a neighborhood where everybody shares food all the time, otherwise I'd be on a "forced" diet.

Hehehe. I'm trying to save for a trip to Kota kinabalu in August. I'm going with my boyfriend and two of my teammates, and I'm really hoping that I would be able to save enough from my online earnings to pay for all of my expenses during the trip. That's why I'm really working doubly hard on my online things, and hopefully all my hard work would get paid in time.

I have not yet thought of it. Its just brewing up, but I wouldnt like to declare it in open just in case it fizzles out. But it is definitely not an physical object. :) I want to do something very perfect to the best of my ability, with the help of a few friends. :) Before this, my online earnings were all devoted towards my medical insurances, and life insurances. This year, one policy will get over. :) So I will experience some relief. :) That is when I will be able to start serious consideration I suppose. :) Online earnings are not much. So I dont plan much with them. :)

I haven't thought of a long term plan with my earnings. But now that you mentioned it. I guess I should allot a big chunk on it on savings rather than buying stuff. Thank you for this very wise advice.
