I stumbled upon this online transcription job under a site named callgraph. I am interested to try it since they are willing to pay $10 per finished transcription. So I am wondering if anyone of you here have tried this or any other transcription job that pays in a good and timely manner. Your feedback will be very much appreciated. I hope to from you all.

I actually work for a few different transcription companies. I just started working for CallGraph about a month ago though. I've been with another company called Quicktate for over two years. Quicktate is a great place to start if you are looking to gain experience in the general transcription field. The audio files are normally between thirty seconds and one minute long, and they are voice mail messages, so they are normally very clear and easy to understand. The pay isn't too great, but they always pay on time and they are willing to hire people without experience. CallGraph on the other hand is an acquired taste. If you have done transcription in the past, and you are looking to improve your skills, then CallGraph is a great place to do that. The audio files are normally about six minutes long. When I first started with them, it took me around 35-40 minutes to complete a six minute raw audio file, due to the thick accents and background noise, etc. Now, it normally takes me between 10-15 minutes on average. I do want to clarify however, that they do not pay $10 per finished transcription!! They pay $10 per raw audio hour. That is a BIG difference. So, an average six minute audio file is worth $1. On good days, I can make about $6 in an hour. This company also does not pay the greatest, but the experience is well worth it in my opinion, if you want to get into the general transcription field. Let me know if you have any questions! Good Luck! :-)
