I was born into a Muslim family but I grew up very much exposed to the West. Thanks to my late mom, when i was a teenager, she made me go to religious class every week and I grew to love Islam.
Now as an old lady, sometimes I hear whisperings if Islam is the right path but everytime I will see the truth shortly afterwards.

I wouldnt want to stop it exactly, my children also watches a lot of tv programs from the west. The trick is to explain to them what is right and what is wrong according to Islam.
I have little opportunity to watch what the east has produced in terms of movie making but i have seen a lot of good things from the west.
My point is we should all be open minded and if we see something that goes not agree with us, we can always turn to Islam.

I live in families that have a different religion, I know Islam is not from my parents. I know Islam from my teacher. When I was in kindergarten to junior high, I do not know what I have to answer when someone asks about religion. My parents did not force me to follow their religion. But they always told me to choose a religion based on the desire of my heart. They introduce their religion to me, but they introduced me about their religion so I would not do such a sin. I learned three different religions, but my heart chose Islam. Finally I chose Islam as my religion, because I feel comfortable with the religion of Islam. I have been convinced with Islam, so I have no desire to change my religion.

I grew up in a mixed family as far as religion. Half being more Christian based and the other Muslim. When I was younger I remember wanting to be a Jehovah's Witness because my grandmother was. When I got older and started reading and discovering things for myself, I developed my own opinions. Islam was what made sense to me and I have strived to stay on that path ever since.

Most of my family were Christian actually. I gravitated towards the truth. No disrespect.
