Migrating to other country...why?

Hi my fellow mylotters...i know most of us are from different countries and may be some of you have move from your country to a new one. I'm just wondering what made you take that decision. Was it hard and how do you know life would be much better? I really like to know because who know i might take that same decision in the future. Happy mylotting...

I have never personally migrated to another country but have worked with several people who have migrated to the US. Many of them tell me that they have come here for one of two reasons. Their reasons were to find work or for political asylum. It certainly has not been easy on them as they often leave behind family and friends and are in a place where they know no one and often do not speak the language. But after a period of adjustment they all seem to be doing well and making a new life for themselves. No one is sure what the future will hold for them but they have the ability to make whatever they desire out of life. A little hard work and a prayer said each day will go a long way; because if it isn't worth working and praying for it isn't worth doing.
