Hi, pinetree! It's something that really can't be taught. Having taught for 42 years, I know most assuredly that the key is honestly caring. Anyone who really cares whether the kids are learning and growing can't help but be an effective educator!

It just takes time and experience, if you care enough! I can see that you do!

Being a good educator should start with in. You must find deep with in yourself that you are proud and love what you are doing. If you are happy teaching other beings about life and everything there is to teach then you are already a good educator because when you are happy inside and outside every positive things will follow. Your students will sense the happiness in you and your good intention to educate them. And in return they will value and put to practice everything you teach them. Sometimes you have to reach deeper in to your own self to become effective in educating others.

Always strive to continue learning, teach how to learn, as well as how to teach, by teaching we learn best. Have the people you teach PARTICIPATE. Have a passion for what you are teaching, and I agree completely with the dear other lady with all the experience whose name I can not recall, CARE, Care whether or not your children learn, care about your children, and remember you can be the teacher they remember the fondest later in their lives, just by showing them you care, and having the patience to teach them. Sincerely and With Appreciation.
