I have some ground beef in my refrigerator for tonights dinner. I am tired of serving meatloaf, meatballs, or burgers. Any suggestions? New recipes?

tacos? taco salad? spaghetti? we have a little family recipe called slop. lol yes slop. It is cooked rice, ground beef, and cream of celery soup. It is very yummy! You could also try cheeseburger pie on the Bisquick box. Or homemade pizza! Also a good idea in hamburger vegetable soup. Very tasty. Ground beef, frozen mixed veggies and beef broth. Super simple, inexpensive and very yummy! Another idea is shephards pie, or a beef pot pie, or meat pasties, kraut burgers or large egg rolls. Good luck!

how about spagetti, tacos? Shepherds pie? Sometimes I serve up hamburg patties with baked beans and salad and cottage cheese. Just plain with no buns...what a different flavor. its delicious. Hamburg in franco American spagetti or Kraft Mac & cheese also creates a quick and different meal. swedish meatballs?? Hamburg is so versatile the possibilities are endless.

I would love those. my kids on the other hand, would not. They only like burgers with buns. My daughter would like it in the mac and cheese - that's a good idea. I ended up making a meatloaf which only I ate. I can never win!

I just made some stuffed cabbage with my ground beef and some rice, the sweet and sour kind, adding brown sugar, raisins, and carrots. I also made picadillo recently, with pimento-stuffed olives and raisins. You can stuff any vegetable, peppers, zucchini, eggplant, etc. with a ground beef mixture. Macaroni and ground beef in tomato sauce is tasty. Greek pastitsio and moussaka can be made with ground beef instead of lamb. You can do many pasta dishes with ground beef, including lasagna roll-ups. The easiest recipe for ground beef I learned from the owners of a preschool. Just spread ground beef on sliced bread, season with Lawry's Seasoned Salt, and bake in the oven till done. Serve open faced and cut in quarters. A quick Chinese style dish uses scallions/onions, garlic, ground beef, and peas in a broth and soy sauce mixture, thickened with cornstarch.

how aboooout... adding them with some vegetables? like a soup-like dish? noodles? particularly? rice noodles, ahh that's it! errr use beef or pork stock as the soup and at least add some vegetables like cabbages and carrots~ usually in our place, the vegetable we add for that kind of meat in a soup-style dish is a "pechay" for a chance~ make your soup as your main dish hehe~

why dont you try to put some vegetables on it. saute the ground beef then put some leafy vegetables that is available in your stock. here is another one, saute garlic and onion then put the ground beef and bell pepper, add some soy sauce, put the carrots, peas and potatoes. then add some tomato sauce and simmer.

I do lots of dishes with ground meat as it is the least expensive meat. I buy whatever meat is on sale, take out fat and other tissues and ground it myself. As for recipes, if you like eggplant a wonderful idea is to make a moussaka (eggplant pie) of greek origin. There are many recipes for that online. Pies are a good way to use ground meat. In my country we make a wonderful pie with ground meat (fried diced onion, a bit of crushed garlic and raisin if you like them). Then you make a paste with fresh corn kernels, some milk and a couple of crushed basil leaves (You boil it stirring it and adding more milk if nesessary). THen you put the ground meat as in a sheherds pie (first) and then the corn paste. Bake it at medium. I like to put sugar on top, some other people prefer it hot. Happy postings!

Found this recipe on the internet. Feels good and quite easy to make. I am thinking of trying it with chicken. Corn, tomatoes, and potatoes and cheese make this ground beef casserole a whole meal. Cook Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes Ingredients: •1 pound lean ground beef •1 cup chopped onion •1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes •2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce •2 teaspoons salt •1 1/2 cups corn kernels, or 1 can (15 ounce), drained •16 ounces diced frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed, or about 3 to 4 cups diced or sliced raw potato •1/4 cup flour •1 green bell pepper, chopped •4 tablespoons butter, melted •2 cups shredded sharp or mild Cheddar cheese Preparation: Combine beef, onion, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine corn, potatoes, flour, melted butter, and chopped green bell pepper. Pat the beef mixture into a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; top with the corn and potato mixture. Bake uncovered at 375° for 45 minutes; sprinkle with the cheese and bake ground beef casserole 15 to 20 minutes longer, or until browned and potatoes are tender.

Lots of them!!! Here are a couple of my recipes ( I call it minced beef but that is just the anglised way of saying ground beef!!) These are all special low fat recipes by the way!! CITRIC BEEF BALTI Serves 4 450g lean minced beef 1 onion, chopped 1 sweet potato, peeled and diced 2 carrots, sliced 1 can chopped tomatoes 1 lemon, juice & zest 1 orange, juice & zest 1 stick of lemongrass 3 teaspoons garam masala 1 can chickpeas, drained Fry onions lightly. Boil mince in water, once cooked, drain off liquid. Allow liquid to cool, take off fat and return liquid to meat. Pre-boil carrots and sweet potato. Add tomatoes. Add garam masala. Add orange and lemon juice & zest. Cut slits in lemongrass stick and add. Add 250ml [1/4 pint] of water and allow to simmer until a good 'sauce' is left. Remove lemongrass stick before serving. Serve with brown rice. This is one of my favourites: PASTITSIO Serves 6 This can be mad a day ahead and kept covered in the fridge. In fact I think it tastes better the second day. It also freezes well. 250g macaroni 2 eggs, beaten 60g extra low fat soft cheese(like Philadelphia) MEAT SAUCE 2 teaspoons olive oil 2 onions, finely chopped 600g lean minced beef 400g can chopped tomatoes 125 ml beef stock 95g tomato puree ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 egg salt & pepper to taste TOPPING 1 medium egg 100g extra low-fat soft cheese 150 g Quark 100ml skimmed milk 1 pinch salt 1 teaspoon pepper Preheat oven to moderate (180C) Cook macaroni until just tender. Drain. Combine warm pasta, egg and soft cheese in a large bowl, season to taste. Press pasta mixture into the base of a shallow 2½ litre ovenproof dish. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add onion and cook until soft, add mince, cook for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, puree, stock and cinnamon, simmer uncovered, until thick. Cool for 10 minutes, season to taste and stir in egg. Pour over the pasta. Beat all topping ingredients together, and pour+- over meat mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.

Tacos was already suggested by someone else, and I think that is a very good suggestion. And burritos as well, if you are into Mexican food. You can also make pasta Bolognese or spaghetti Bolognese, or why not a lasagna? Italian food is always yummy too!
