One hard question

Hey Setsuna, Its nice to from a 6 year old niece of you saying all that. If I am the one hearing it from my first nephew I would also cry and hug him tight. Though I am not that close to my nephew since I am living in a different city and my family are from down south but I always do my best to be his best uncle ever. Everytime I go home, i make it to a point that I give him something like a gift specially if he did something good. Kids are like angels. They are pure in heart, so i think what your niece told you is genuine and pure. Continue to love her and be the best uncle to her. I miss my nephew while doing this message. Sigh!

U are very blessed to have her. No, i don't have any nieces or nephews to my sorry. My only sibling was killed in a car wreck in 1962 so i will never know that pleasure but i'm sure glad u have your niece. Give her a hug from your Tennessee friend. Children are so special.

Wow, that is so touching. I have a niece that about to turn 3 and I love her a lot. Sometimes I wish she was my own. I work far from home but every weekends, or when I go home, I make sure to spend quality time with her. Last weekend was a treat for both of us since it was a non-working holiday las Monday. I bathe her everytime I'm around the house. She was hugging me the whole time I was shampooing and cleaning her up. I love the moment, I'm all wet and soapy but knowing that being close to me makes her feel safe and confortable. I guess she's too young to ask me questions like that, but I'm pretty sure I will be crying as much as you did if ever she would be asking me the same question.

that's sweet... :) i love hearing those words from my nephews. every morning before they go to school and every night before they go to bed, they will enter our house go to each room to kiss us good morning and good night and saying i love yous. we dont stay in one house but they live nearby so it's really touching that they do that regularly. i'm definitely going to miss this habit once they grow up. :)

..yes..but in my case it is my neighbour's daughter..she is 4 years old..she is so cute and adorable..she live under me..ya see i live in an apartment so she always come to my house every evening..mybe she didn't have any sister that is why she is so close with me..sometimes i realised that she is clever than any kids that i knew..if i want to bluff her and saying that it;s going to rain because i'm kinda lazy to walk her outside..she will say like 'the sky is blue and all the clouds is white..no rain at all'..her answers sometimes make me stunned..yet she loves me..you are a sweet uncle..i'm sure when she grew up she'll will love you more and appreciate you a lot...trust me

I have a niece she is almost two she's frighten of me because i have a really big afro and it scares her. it makes me kind of sad until i realize that's she's just faking it and she just acts that way because she's a drama queen. So i chase her around the house and she starts to giggle and laugh.

This is so sweet. I have a daughter. she can't speak much yet but I can feel the love she has for us merely by her actions. She kisses us when she wakes up and cling to us when we reach home from work. She's so attentive too when I read books to her. Kids are really amazing!

My nieces loves me too, because I spoil them . No actually I am a strict Auntie I don't want running kids, they can lean on me when they needed a tutor or money or gift.... Children, maybe because they are children they are just doing what the old people are doing. Like you said, you showed her how you love her that is why she showed you what she sees on you. I hope that niece of you will grow a discipline and honest daughter of her parents.

That was so sweet. I think there is a time in their lives when kids are very expressive and they feel no shame in telling the people they love that they love them. Precious times. :)

Hi Setsuna....... Its always great to loved. I don't have niece yet because I was the biggest child in our family. I have many cousin who aged like your niece, they are so cute and often make my heart really warm with they act.

I'm just touched with your story setsuna. She's a smart girl. She sees and feels that true, sincere love in you. Over the months I've known you I feel it too.

No niece or nephew but my own daughter.Children can make out who really loves them and care for them by heart.I dont know may be its the feel or what.My daughter is quite close to her grandpa(my father).If he scolds her also the next very moment she wil go to him only.

lol...when my daughter was two I was doing some cross stitch one day and she just climbed right up into my lap. I looked down at her and said, "What am I? Your personal Monkey bars?" She smiled sweetly up and me and just said, "You love me." Talk about ways to melt a mother's heart, eh?

Not only do I have a wonderful daughter and son of my own whom I love and cherish more than anyone else in this world. I also have two beautiful nieces that I care for during the day while their mother and father are at work. My nieces don't always express that they love me, but I can see it in so many different things. You can tell that they love me in that whenever they see me they will come running. In addition to that, they always share hugs and kisses with me. They are three years old and 21 months old.

Hi setsuna, i have one son, but before i used to take care of my sister's daughter since my sister is working. Now she is with her parents. This summer holidays she came to my house to stay. She is asking me that "do you have same love on me still, coz you have son know" what can i say for her words. That feeling i can't describe it.

Congrats Uncle, you have accomplished your status with this lovely little girl. That is one of the major problems in this country that too many people are forgetting the concept that love is the most important aspect in a child's developmental upbringing. You say she was not taught this, I beg to differ, on a good note. You have done a magnificent job emanating love, giving love and demonstrating love. Lessons are not such that we must be develop a step by step written guide. And you dear have developed a step by step life learning experiences. I am almost weepy of joy for you, keep up the wonderful job Uncle as this child will always come to you in her future. This by far is the best posted discussion I have read all morning.

Oh that is so sweet...i dont have a niece and nephews yet bu i have my own daughter,shes turning 3 years old this coming august and shes growing so fast,smart and lovable...im far from her though so shes staying with my parents (im a single mom).Everytime i phone them she will be like 'is that mommy?i havent talk to her yet,may i speak with her?"then after saying hello she'll ask me"mom do you love me?because i love you so much...'and everytime she said that it really melt my heart and cried,even if i hear it almost everyday.There were times that she was playing with her playmates then she just told them'You know what?my mommy is so beautiful and she love me so i love her too and i missed her (my mom told me about it when i phoned them).Shes the sweetest specially if she wants something of course,hahaha,in fact just last week she told me she wanna go to school and buy her school stuffs and im like ok if u want then she added can you buy a flying horse too?and im like,what?what do you need a flying horse for?and she said "barbie rides in a flying horse in going to school mom"and i burst my hearts out laughing,hahaha( alright,where am i gonna get a flying horse now?lol),so i realized its the dvd that she loves to watch,hahaha.Its just that im starting to worry because she asked too much now and i know one day she'll wonder why she doesnt have a father with her.Kinda sad but i wish one day she'll understand.
