It is especially when tragic things happen that we stop and consider how precious life really is. We don’t know how long we have here and making the very most of every minute is paramount and in order to do that I think we need to set priorities. A close relative of mine passed away from cancer a while ago and it was then that I understood the importance of placing people we care about at the top of our priority list and dropping stuff and ego related things way down. Yes, I do value life; it is all we have, after all…

We are only human so we just try to make it through each day. If we could we should live each day as if it were our last, but as humans, the everyday crisis get in the way of that. Life is way to short. It is very sad for your office mate to lose his wife. I have two cousins who have lost their wives and they have never remarried. Have a wonderful weekend.

You are so right, life can be taken from you within a split second. A lot of prople don't believe that, I suffered a massive heart attack and heard the doctors say that I more than likely won't make it to New Orleans hospital by Care Flight, I fought hard making that ride to show them that yes I would be alive when I got there, but it was only by the grace of God that he let me live. We don't know from one second to the next what is in store for us. Our days are numbered here on earth. I sometimes wonder when I get out of bed is today my day, to the point I would take extra causion in what I am doing. We can lay down at night and go in our sleep, so we need to live every day letting those we love know that we love them and try to live the best life we can so that when we meet our maker we will be ready.

This is so true. So sad that we, as human beings, haven't learned to live like that as of yet. Knowing that anything can happen at any moment and that what we have done and said up to this very moment may be the last that we do and say. Hopefully we would all live a bit differently. We would try to be kinder and live life to the fullest. I am so sorry for your office mate's loss.

At any time we could die, we go blissfully about our business each day until something comes along to disrupt the flow, but a car accident, a flood, an earthquake or twister can end it all in an instant
