linking articles

Here's a tip I picked up on one article writing site today. If you are signed up as an author to 3 article sites, consider using this 'trick'. I write for Bukisa, xomba and wikinut. Bukisa pay on a per view basis, the other 2 on a revenue share basis. write 3 short, 250 word articles on related subjects. If appropriate put a link from the Bukisa article to your blog or other site, no referral/affiliate links. Once that article is moderated and published, post your other two articles, one to Xomba, one to Wikinut and link to your Bukisa article from them. This should improve your views, and consequently, your earnings. Thoughts?

Hello Philtrate I havent heard of Xomba and Wikinut but the concept of article writing isnt new to me. The trick/tip you are talking about is one of the concepts in Search Engine Optimization, which increase the chance that your article is found in the search engines. The search engines look among things on how many visits + how many people or other outside websites that links to the site to determine relevance for the searcher. The more links you have from an outcomming source the higher chance for your article to rank higher in the search engines. So this tip is good enough, but it might take a little while before you can see the results of it.

I think there would be some short term benefit because some people would follow the links in the second two articles to the one on the pay per view site. I agree with your analysis, though I was thinking about the above, rather than spiders

It is ofcause also hard to predict the results, but another thing that can help is certainly a good interesting article topic aswell.

Another point to think about - The shorter more focussed articles should be naturally richer in key words for that subsection of the topic, so might rank higher in SE. This did get me more hits. Wikinut tells you where your views are coming from. 6 out of 8 yesterday on one article came from my Bukisa article. I'm convinced anyway

Seems like a sound idea! How is it working for you? Definitely a way to get more views to your bukisa account, could be considered spamming, though not too likely as both articles are related and the information compliments them. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

I don't see how it could be construed as spam, at all. Link is from one article to a similar article. Articles are unique. End of story. Sadly not working, but I think because of my poor choice of sites. I have closed my Wikinut account, after earning 1.9 pence in 2 weeks from 14 articles. Not impressed with Bukisa or Xomba either. That does not detract from the logic though and this should benefit anyone working with decent sites. I intend to apply it using my Content CRooner articles, my InfoBarrel account and blog

It's easier to follow my ideas on my profile site than on this bandwidth gobbling ultra slow Mylot, just check it out. There are more details on there thatI cannot put here.
