My mother-in-laws best friend has a child that is 13 yrs and needs a kidney or he will no longer be with us. When my mother-in-law found out she went to the doctor and got tested to give her kidney to him. I found that to be very inspiring and selfishless. Although she was not a match, her friend's daughter was and both will have the surgery within the next few days. My mother-in-law was so upset that she couldn't offer him her kidney. She didn't want his 17 yr old sister to have to go through the rest of her life with only one.
Who do yo know that has or would do an amazing act that makes you proud to call your family and friend.?

I have an amazing sister. We have a large family and one of our sisters needed a kidney several years ago. Another sister (L) donated to J at that time and so my sister lived another 15 years before she wore that kidney out. My sister D then went through the testing to try and give J her kidney but she wasn't a match and J finally said enough was enough and went off dialysis and passed on.
Well, my sister D went on and donated her kidney to someone else in memory of J. Now she runs in the race they have every year for the kidney foundation and works hard to help those with kidney disease. She has also adopted the receiver of her kidney as another sister and the two are inseparable. D is an amazing woman!
