I generally prefer formal clothing when I go to work. On Fridays though I wear casuals as I am getting into the weekend mode. What is your preference of clothing when you work - Casual or Formal? Cheers! Ram

I`m not working now, but i belive that it really matters when you work, and what are you doing there. I worked 3 months in a factory, but i was wearing casual clothes, because i worked in production area. When i was to make practice in bank, i was wearing formal clothes, because you can`t go to a bank in casual clothes... not if you are working there.

Yes, the place of your job does have a lot to determine the choice of your clothing. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram-cv, Intereting topic. I would prefer casual clothing when i am on work. But I work in international company, my boss require us to take formal clothing for our work. In her opinion, taking formal clothing could express solemn and respect. At the beginning, i did not used to take formal clothing. But now, it is ok for me. BTW, do you watch the game, Argentina vs Korea? Best Regards,

Yes, my boss also insists on formals whenever possible :) And yes, Argentina completely walloped Korea 4-1 with Higuain helping himself to a hat trick. Cheers! Ram

That is I assume you have a "white collar job" or working in an office because if an individual has a "blue collar job" or jobs that require physical strenght or also known as dirty jobs, he/she wouldn't have a choice but to comply with the dress code. Personally, if I were to work in an office I would opt to wear the formal outfiT than the casual almost everyday

My place of work went business casual years ago. No one wears suits and ties or dresses and hose unless the big board of directors is comining in town. And only then is it managers and directors that have to get dressed up formal. Usually I wear pants or capris and a regular shirt to work in. When I leave I can go directly from work to my son's ball games without having to stop and change clothes.

For me formal clothing is always best. I would love to have a job that required a suit and tie. I have always wanted that very important roll, so I could dress for the part. I have been accused in the past for overdressing at some occasions. Now in this day it's a little easier because of the up-rise on the modern cut suit. I do enjoy my sweats and shorts, but I feel much better and more put together in my formal wardrobe.

Formal. Casual wears are definitely more enjoying, but you got to differentiate work and home. And work definitely ain't home.

That is definitely true. When I work from home, I usually am only on T-shirt and shorts, but usually prefer formals at office. Cheers! Ram
