The keeper of South Africa was expelled during the second half of a world cup game. The goalie barely grazed the foot of the player of Uruguay. The ref then proceeded to call penalty on the play and the showed a red card to the goalie. I would understand the penalty call, even though the player from Uruguay completely exaggerated in them moment, but do you agree with the ref's decision by kicking out the goalie straight away instead of giving him a warning?

My prediction for that specific braket probably consist of Argentina taking the number one spot and I could see South Korea being the runner up and passing on to the next round but the must be Nigeria First.

Bad call by the ref. There was contact so it is a penalty even though he did go to ground with such ease(like he did many occasions before). He made no effort to stay on his feet. They should appeal the red card and hope it gets taken back. Bafana Bafana have no hope, its all a matter of standings now, lets hope they can manage to end 3rd in the group.

First of all the first goal from Forlan was amazing. Finally someone seems to have got hold of the Jabulani ball. Secondly yes the sending off was harsh and I think FIFA should take action against Suarez for pulling a dummy on the refree. But it was a comprehensive victory for Uruguay with Forlan scoring two goals.
Cheers!

Urugway beat them 3-0. i dont think that south africans played a good foot ball.
they will be the first team in the history of football worldcup which will not enter the second round when the match is played in their home nation.
in all other worldcups the hosting nation have entered the second round.

if the striker is obstructed to stop genuine goal, the referee may show the RED whether the player is goalkeeper or not.
if you see the goal again, he did try to stop and referee has no option except showing the RED card and obviously penalty. i have no doubt!
but referee are human and sensitive also to make a wrong decision.
