Do you let the kids open one gift on Christmas Eve?

I don't think they should, I think that feeling of waiting the whole night for Santa to get there and falling asleep is precious. In the morning watching them spring from there beds and their little eyeys light up when they see what they got is great.

This is what my parents did. I don't know if my parents let us do that from the beginning or if it was something we got to do when we were older (like age 5 or older).
I don't really ever recall believing in Santa though. Maybe that is why they let us do it.

On christmas eve we go to the in-laws and open a few gifts and we go to my mother's to open all of the gifts there. We are really bissy on christmas so we have our christmas on my side of the family on christmas eve. The kids love it.

My parents always let us open one thing.
We usually let our kids open one small gift of our choice christmas eve. Usually it is pajamas, lol nothing too exciting. I don't see any harm in it becasue on christmas morning the have no interest in clothes anyway.

When I was a child we were allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve. Of course, we rose real early in the morning but mother insisted that we couldn't open the presents until the whole family finished breakfast. My brother and I would try to hurry up our parents but it seemed like it took hours before they did. Thanks for reminding me. A plus for you.
