When do you put the gifts under the tree?

When my children where little I used to put them under the tree just before I went to bed on Christmas Eve now they go under when they are wrapped

I put presents under the tree all month in December. I choose not to tell my children or others that "Sant Clause" exists. I do celebrate christmas though. "Santa Clause only becomes a christmas story but nobody recieves gifts from him. If we don't want somebody to know who got them a gift we just put their name on the To: and no name on the From:
