We are always advice to live a healthy lifestyle in order to live life happier and longer. We need to take a proper exercise, eat healthy foods and get enough sleep, however it's hard to have apply those things in our life, sometimes we love to eat unhealthy foods, get lazy taking an exercise and of course find it hard to sleep at night. So among this three things which is quite hard for you to have in your life? Do you think it's hard to live a healthy lifestyle?

Yeah, I agree with you. Nowadays people tend to focus on material aspects that they often neglect their health. There are so many things that prevent one person to live a healthy lifestyle one is vices many engage into smoking or drinking or eating unhealthy foods and so many other things. It could also be our work, we spend too much time on working that we find it hard to give ourself enough time to sleep, and of course being too lazy to exercise. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

its really not difficult to live a healthy lifestyle but what we lack is motivation. what is difficult is to try to live healthy when everybody else around us don't.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. It's hard to do what is good when almost everyone that surrounds us don't really care about their health and live as if like there's no tomorrow. We don't have that special motivation to keep us live a healthy life. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Actually it is not so difficult, but the problem is that we find it difficult to maintain discipline that is why it seems so hard. If we do some basic exercises and watch what we eat and take some basic precautions it is easy to live a healthy lifestyle. Also I think these days our lifestyles have become sedentary due to cosy offices and we have less and less time to spend for taking care of ourselves and that is what is causing problems maintaining general health. Cheers! Ram

Yeah, we find it hard to constantly discipline ourselves to live a healthy lifestyle because there are so many temptations, from our foods, work, lifestyle and so many other things. Sometimes we tend to focus with our work and on earning money that we ignore our health that sometimes makes us regret on the end which truly happens to many and it's a sad reality. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I don't have a problem with eating healthier, I am now accustomed to eating three good meals a day and just don't like junk food anymore. However I DO have a problem with exercise, as I get older I find it more and more difficult to motivate myself for any exercise.

Yeah, you are right as one get older it could be harder to engage a regular exercise, actually you have the same problem with my dad, he's 70 years old and the doctor told him to exercise but then he's too lazy to do that so that's why he got some problem with his health. The doctor actually advice him to have a pet, like a dog so he can have a walk early in the morning in that way he can do an exercise but too bad he don't like pet..lol So he often spend time on sleeping... Well I guess if you like having a pet it could work on you. That will motivate you to have a walk. How's that? Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

This is also my problem. I want to live a healthy lifestyle but it is just so hard not to eat unhealthy foods. I am working in an office and I usually worked overtime so I have no time to work out. However, every time we have an excursion in the beach, I tend to work out and avoid unhealthy foods because I have to be fit to look good to others. So what's the point there? Sometimes it is also kinda helpful if you are beauty conscious. Nah! just kidding. The point there is that you need to have a motivation so that you'll be able to do what you want to do. If there's a will, there's a way! ^_^

You are right. But we need to exercise even if we are busy..Maybe, if we cannot exercise, we can keep healthy lifestyle if we can guarantee to eat only those healthy foods. For me, I can't live a healthy lifestyle just because I only sleep 4 hours at night because I have lots of things to be done.

It's definitely a challenge! The unhealthy foods taste so good and most of us have developed an addiction to unhealthy food and it is everywhere to entice us. Everyone we visit serves us unhealthy food, like soft drinks and sweets or salty foods, and feel insulted if we refuse these poisons. Definitely a challenge but we can live a healthy lifestyle if we keep on fighting, at least most of the time. No one is perfect!

Yeah, it's really a big challenge for everyone of us. In our life there are so many things that prevent us to live a healthy lifestyle but with strong determination we can do it, if we keep on fighting and resisting those temptations then we can do it. Yeah I agree with you, we are not perfect but we can at least try our best to become perfect. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

that's lot of people say that but i think if we have determination to live a healthy lifestyle we can do it. But, how come? there are lots of foods that we afford to eat and we like to eat that is not a healthy food. we are starving if we see an unhealthy food in the sidewalk.

It's hard to live a healthy lifestyle cuz there are a lot of vices. Those vices prevents us from having a healthy body. For example, I try as much as possible to hit the gym but I'm also a smoker. There are times when I'm just too lazy to even get up so I miss some sessions I could've been attending.

Yeah, you are right, there are so many temptations and vices that could prevent us from engaging into a healthy lifestyle. Like in your case, you smoke or sometimes you get too lazy to exercise then it could be a real hurdle that makes you unable to live a healthy lifestyle. As you need to take an effort to discipline your self which is not an easy task. Well anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Yes, I think it is hard to live a healthy lifestyle. We have all these types of food available - pizzas, takeaways, many flavours of ice cream, etc. and it is all tempting us every day - in TV adverts, magazines, in the shops. We hardly exercise because most people travel by car to work, etc. Most jobs are sitting at a desk in an office. Then we are too stressed to sleep!!! I sleep okay most of the time, I do walk most places as I don't drive. But I don't exercise enough nor eat healthily enough. I am a vegetarian and do eat fresh vegetables every day and cook meals from scratch, but I do eat other food too like chocolate and cake.

Yeah, you're right it's not easy to live a healthy lifestyle it takes so much effort, self discipline and determination to live in a healthy way. Our work could give us so much stress that makes us unable to sleep at night, those unhealthy foods were hard to resist and of course we get too lazy to engage our self in exercise, however there's always alternative, like instead of having someone clean our house we could do that, or when you're tempted to eat those unhealthy foods try to minimize your intake, etc., In that way we could at least keep our health in good. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I think it depends on what you're used to from childhood. However i will say this- the body is LAZY! and even athletes agree that you need a mind like iron to get over muscle fatigue and such.

I also think that it really depends to our mind because our mind is the one who can tell us what to do. There are times that we felt lazy to walk , to exercise but thereare times also that we are very energetic. Maybe, we can balance our self to do those three things that we can live a healthy lifestyle..

I personally don't think it is that hard. I have been living a healthy lifestyle for along time and I honestly wouldn't want it any other way as I found that when I eat junk I feel like junk and vice versa.
• Philippines

Wow, that's good for you because you can balance yourself for doing such things. I know that others can do it to live a healthy lifestyle why we can do it also? Maybe, we should think a good way on how we can live in that way.

Yes , its reali hard to live a healthy life .. Its har to eat only healthy food and avoid oily or unhealthy food coz we as humans jus can't resist our temptation . As for exercising , it all boils down to a word 'laziness' coz noone is nt lazy . Getting enough slp is th most serious of all for mi, as I'm am reali a computer games addictor . It can cause mi nt to do anything and jus plae al day .

I read some of the responses that had the usual platitudes about we and generalizations, so I will not do the same thing. I do not consider myself part of a group, except of the human race and of the Christian part of the human race. For me, the price of the organic foods and the cheapness of the processed food is a factor. Also it is the inablity to sleep all through the night because of my husband's als and him being unable to move himself and not wanting him to get bed sores. I am sure the young mother with an infant or small child feels the same way when she has to get up in the night. Note I am not talking about having fun and wild parties as what is inferred by those who tell us to get enough sleep. One cannot abandon a sick spouse or your own child - not talking about adoption in the latter. That is a different story. The second factor is climate. It is hard to move about in extremely cold weather and extremely hot weather. Try plodding through knee high snow. You certainly will not go 3 miles per hour. And you need extra fuel to sustain you through the cold so there is the tendency to eat more high calorie stuff. Also the vegetables and fruits cost more and if there is just two or you or just one, it costs more and in some stores they only have packages or vegetables set up for 4 or more. Not all veggies are put out in bulk so I can take one or four that will be gone in a week. Many of the common vegetables are available, but if you want to make a salad, up here you cannot get separate Romaine leaves, or separate radichio leaves or separate spinach leaves. One has to buy them in bulk and that means that at the end of the week you are throwing some away. If one lives in the country and can grow the food, it is all right, or if one is made of money (why do you think the rich are more fit? They can afford the gyms and memberships and afford to buy the best fresh produce). Then there is the way one has been brought up, to not let anything go to waste. So one eats the food that the kids did not eat, or the spouse did not, because one was told when they were young, that some poor kid in China would have eaten it. So there are many factors that make it hard to live a healthy lifestyle.

It is hard to live a healthy lifestyle specially if you grow up in a family that do not follow healthy lifestyle. If your mom loves to cook fried food and bake sweets, how will you be able to resist those tempting food. If your dad asks you to accompany him during a drinking session, would you let him down? Aside from the family lifestyle, the working environment is also a big influence on how we live. If you are stressed out, would you not care for a few puffs just to release your anger of your boss? Living a healthy lifestyle takes a lot of determination and focus.
