I was working as a homebased content writer, data entry clerk and a web developer.. One day, I woke up and decided to resign for no resign. Maybe because I want a new job. Or I got tired. Or maybe I don't know! Now, I'm broke! I tried to post my resumes everywhere, onlinejobs, odesk, everywhere. But nothing! :( Now I know looking for job isn't that easy.

i think there's a good reason why things like that happened to you. maybe a better job or work for you is yet to come. just don't question god and his ways.
Try and try and try until you got called by the company you're applying at.Also, try personalizing your resumes, i mean, don't just make one type of resume, make them in variety, not just re-printing the same resume and application form, maybe that is the problem why you weren't called for an interview. just always do your best and keep on trying. :)

Well, what you now know is, no matter how unhappy you are at your current job, you don't quit until you get a job offer.I was let go in April 2008. except for temporary jobs here and there, I hadn't found anything. I also posted my resume everywhere, had many interviews to no avail. Yesterday, I had an interview and he called me later to tell me to come in tomorrow to start training.

I agree with marty. If you don't have enough savings that you could last you for at least 3 months then you would really have to wait for another job offer. I learned that the hard way. Now I value my job even more because life is tough and we need our jobs to survive.

Why did you quit if you had establish yourself as an online worker? Was the pay rewarding? It's hard to get into this online work field. It's really tough out here with the econmy in such a fix it's getting harder and harder to find work and if anyone has a job online or whatever they should consider holding on to their job.

The pay is okay I actually, I earn $300 monthly and my employer is very nice/sweet! I don't know honestly why I quit. Maybe because I want to explore.. I didn't consider the fact that it's a blessing to me and it's not that easy to look for a replacement. Are you working online?

Yeah, looking for a job is really not easy, but the secret is patience. You must never give up, and just say to yourself that you would soon get the job that you want and need. For the mean time, do some online stuff, like Mylot, and maybe it could help you get by with your expenses.
Good luck with your job hunting.

I agree that looking for cash on line is a start but you should do that at nite. during the day is when you should be getting up each morning and going around filling out applications and pushing to get a job anywhere and everywhere. check back with places you've already applied at. Don't give up. If you are on the computer during the day then you can't be out looking for jobs.

Hi Attente,
OUCH! I'm sorry you did that!!! Had you asked, I'd have tried to talk you out of it. You never ever not ever quit one job before you have another lined up unless you are financially prepared to do that. In this economy especially when jobs are so very scarce! Well, I hope you find something soon. There are jobs but unfortunately they are not real good ones and a lot are part time with no benefits. I suppose anything would be better than nothing at this point.

Hi sid! Yes, fortunately I have a job now and the salary is good. It's been a month actually since I have this job. Now, I learned my lesson, not to resign unless I have another job waiting or if I can support myself for atleast 3 months. hehe. :) be blessed!

attente,
You may want to check your local job market instead of just waiting for some online response to hire you.
You need to be more resourceful and practical. Since you have the time, I suggest that you get up from your chair and start walking around before you reach desperation stage.
Take care and have a nice day.

I would have never quit something that I was making money at. It is just to hard to make money, and when you find something that will bring money in, you stick with it. I don't have an actual job online, as what I do online, I don't consider it work as it is fun, and that is how I look at it. I don't make all that much online either, but it is better than nothing, and I am certainly going to stay with what I am doing. I know that in time, all my earnings will add up in the end. I never anticipated making a lot of money online anyway. I am just happy I am making anything at all. I am on a fixed income, so that is what I use to pay mi bills with money left over. What I am doing online is just a bonus anyway. I do hope you find something to do, but don't expect to make as much as you did before, as it way to hard unless you can find something that pays well. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I agree with you. Shouldn't have quit from my job. Unless I have another job waiting for me which pays me more than my recent job. I just realized that it's really hard to look for money. I just thought that resigning from my job, posting my resume and get another job would be that easy. apparently, I am wrong! my bad! Now, here I am broke. Well, I've learned my mistake. Have to consider this one next time! Good to hear that you don't have any financial problems, having a fixed income. that's great! Well, have to look harder and treasure my job next time. thanks rosekiss! be blessed! :)

As a Financial Adviser, this is the last thing I want to listen to. I wonder why people never think of saving for that 'rainy day'. Eveyone feels, that this kind of financial disaster will not affect them. And when it does, they are not only ill prepared, but also dumbstruck and just do not mind doing even petty jobs.
Always have 3-6 months of your Monthly Expenses in Liquid Assets, like Cash in Hand or Cash in Bank.

You are indeed a good fund adviser. I'm just 20 sir and still not good in such area. But now I've learned my lesson. Really have to make sure that there is other job offers if I resigned or make sure that I can survive for 3 months even without job. thanks sir! be blessed!

Hi sir/professor!
Yeah right! as I have told you on my other post. I am looking for an online job. Maybe because I got tire of the routine as a data entry clerk. and my parents won't allow me to work as a programmer because that is very time consuming. No time for my thesis already.. Well that's life. I just have to look harder for another job! be blessed sir!

Hi attente,
A young man like should look for a real 9-4 job. For most of us here, myLot is just an additional mean to extra income. If it happens that you got lucky and get a steady job soon (which I am confident that you can)then myLot can be a source of additional income to pay for your internet bills, etc. Good Luck!

Why don't you just ask for help to any of your close relatives or family member. We all know that they are the ones who we can trust in this kind of situations.

Have you tried evaluating network marketing opportunities? There are legitimate network marketing opportunities you can find out there where you can build a profitable global business on the Internet without leaving the comfort of your own home. The beauty of network marketing is that, you are able to build a business that can give you "leveraged income", and "do-it-once, get-paid-for-a-lifetime" type of residual income.
