Using computers to play jigsaw puzzles

I love jigsaw puzzles. The only problem is that they take up so much room and the pieces can get lost easily, especially when they have 1000+ pieces. A few years ago I discovered playing jigsaws on my computer. I have one website I go where I can play a jigsaw online and a free jigsaw game that I downloaded onto my computer. now I can play jigsaws to my hearts content. Of course, the one drawback is size limitation. The most pieces I can play on either of these venues is 200. Still, it's fun. With the game I downloaded onto my computer I can make a jigsaw out of any photo on my computer, too. I have put together jigsaws of my daughter, my cats, my mother, scenery photos I've taken, you name it! I love it!

Wow i did not know that there was such thing as an online jigsaw puzzle! That's insane! But very cool... I feel that i would prefer to do a jigsaw onnline because real ones just end up in a mess. However i do like the concept of sitting around a dining room table, with snacks and drinks and making a jigsaw puzzle like we used to when i was a child. There's something very nolstagic and amazing about this, which i feel that you might loose if you were to play online.

My best memory of my mother was putting together a jigsaw puzzle with her. It is nice when you have someone to join you and make it a social thing. I don't have anyone like that anymore. My daughter doesn't like to do them and I have no one else in my life.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I spent 13 weeks on bedrest and than heaven for jigsaw puzzles or the tedium would have been crushing. Being someone with a dyslexic mind, I see all problems like a jigsaw puzzle so I really enjoy them, even if I am doing them alone. It keeps my mind sharp.

That's very interesting! I'm really glad that someone else has fantastic memories of jigsaw puzzles too! A lot of people i speak to have very little interest in them and it makes me a little sad to be honest. I'm glad that you have something entertaining and interesting to keep you occupied etc. And it really sounds like you can personalise them with photos and such. :) Thanks for sharing!

I too love jigsaw puzzles. I did not know there were some free programs to play them on the computer. That sounds like a wonderful idea. Do you know if they are mac compatible? I would love to download them. Also if you still have the site you got them from, I would like that.

It has been a long time since I downloaded my copy and I'm not sure if the permanent version is still available or just as a trial but here is a website that should work. Good luck!
