Does this annoy you when they ring at dinner time to sell you raffles tickets for the local life surfing club or some other charity.I don't like these kind of calls as they always want you credit card numbers etc and I do not feel safe giving anyone my details over the phone. How do you handle these calls as I can never cut them off and they ramble on and on and never listen when you say no.I should just hang up.

Definitely will suehan1. For this really is a great disturbance that breaks the harmony of our happy dinner time. I just wonder why they pick such undesirable moment promote their sale. Really silly eh...as well as not welcome for sure. Could it be said that the guy doesn't aware that calling one in inappropriate time especially during dinner time would make one to feel annoyed For the sake of safety I won't buy the charity tickets via credit card for sure. It's a high risk for sure to give the confidential particular of my credit card to guy whom I'm not familiar with totally. I would tell him it's my dinner time and all the members are waiting for me to back to the dinner. After throwing him a bye bye I then hang up the phone Happy posting

I think they know everyone is at home around dinner time and that how they catch us. Annoying. My friend once told them to hold the line and put the phone down for about 15 minutes, they did not hold .lol. Maybe we should just take the phone off the hook while we have dinner, but then they may call when my t.v. shows are on.

I also had an experience with this. At first, I thought that is good but when I keep on listening, I found out that this is scam. What I did, I just turn off my phone every time he calls

Yes I think a lot of them are scams and we really need to be careful who we give our details too. Once I had a man call from the police and wanted to sell me tickets, I told him to send them to me first then I will pay, they never turned up.
