I feel bad today, I receive an email from Paypal Service from a merchant. She was asking me to pay the item that cost $120. Oh my God, I don't even know the person and also I did not purchase any item from any company. Why should I pay her? I don't have the item nor I did not order it from her. I feel so frustrated because I just withdraw my earnings from a PTC site last night through my Paypal Account and it is my first time to withdraw my earnings. I'm afraid that my money there in paypal will be deducted due to the request for payment of that merchant as I mentioned. So I send a message to the Paypal service about my complain. They replied back to me and it says that I must file a complain in their resolution area and it will took 30 days for the final decision.
Do you have any experience like this in Paypal?

krischine,
In the first place, the money in your Paypal will not be deducted as long as you do not authorize payment.
You may take up with Paypal if the merchant has billed you in error, all of which will take time to clear.
Just follow up with Paypal with regards to this merchant's billing.

krischine I did not have that in paypal but did in ebay where this person insisted I had bought some two hundred dollars worth of stuff and had not sent my check so I went to the head people in Ebay and they tracked this down and found the idiot had used the wrong address and code and it was just an error instead of Tustin Ca it was to a PM hatley in Tustin Colorado, so that was straightened out without my having to pay any money for something that was not my purchase. the person making the charge never even bothered to say he was sorry either. Maybe you talked to the wrong paypal service, ask for a counselor or whatever they call themselves and tell her your story like you told us.I have had excellent help from paypal representatives.

I send a message to the merchant who were asking for my payment of $120, I told her that I did not purchase anything from her and she must inquire to the PAYPAL service about it. I'm thankful, for I receive her response this morning and the merchant apologize to me for what happen.

That's so strange! I've never experienced anything bad on paypal like that before. Hopefully it cleared up. As long as you are care about who you give your information to you can use paypal quite nicely. I think your money should be fine because you contacted paypal about the issue. For now you might want to withdraw your money from your account yet just to keep it safe.

I once withdrawed my earning through paypal by twice,I didn't met the problem like you. Maybe someone made the wrong account, if you didn't purchase anything and don't need to pay this one. You can't disregard this email, it is a scam. Be careful.

Thank you for your comment, yes I disregard her request for the payment as what the Paypal staff told me. Also there will be a message to authorize the merchant to have the payment. Yes, I also thought it is a scam.

Well, I think your paypal got hacked or something. If you did not make the purchase then send a complaint or what they call it. Why do this? The merchant will be asked to provide shipping receipts to them to verify their claim.

If it isn't addressed to you by name, whatever that may be, then it's fake and if it's fake, send it to spoof@paypal.com and they will handle it. However, if it's legit with your name on it, then that's another matter. but from what you say you don't know about that.

You sure that wasn't some scam email. A few years ago my dad had told me about getting a email like that and it turned out to be someone trying to get his account. Whatever you do, don't reply back to that email.
