I have recently had surgery on my neck to remove a tumor and mostly the scar line is looking good, but there is about a 2 cm that does not look so good and I want to put something on it to try and make the scar look a lot less obvious. I was thinking of rubbing some aloha vera on it but not sure if this was good or not. Help needed please.

Truthfully I have not heard of anything that you can put on scar to make them appear less obvious....

I think that certain creams can help with the healing process, and hopefully make them look a lot less obvious,at the moment it looks like I am Frankensteins bride.lol

I had to have carotid surgery 5 years ago & a friend of mine told me to use vitamin e oil. I think it helped alot because i had a right nasty looking scar. I'm sure the aloha would not hurt it because it is so good for so many things, Time helps to. Happy weekend.

There is a product avaliable called Bio oil which is very very good. It does seem expensive but a very little goes a long way. The effects won't be immediate but it will make the scar less obvious. Aloe vera could be pretty good to use I am just not sure how long it will take to make any difference.

Yes I have heard bio oil is very good but expensive, but if it lasts a while that would be worth it.

Yes aloe vera is a good natural remedy for treating scars - it get'scalled hte 'miracle plant' because of it's properties. Away from that I would really recommend a product called Bio Oil, I have used it with an old gall bladder operation scar, it is excellent. More information on it here www.bio-oil.com

Actually I have heard about Bio -Oil from the girls from work . I might give the aloe vera a go first as it will not cost anything ,and if that does not do the trick I will buy some Bio -Oil. Were you a chemist by chance. Thanks
