I work in a school, now its school holidays, and since I am not a teacher I still have to come to work. Usually during holidays its quite relaxing, we can do our job and relax and do slowly, but sometimes it gets too boring.. you have been on facebook, msn, twitter and even on mylot for long and still it looks like the time is dragging.... I try to do some productive work as much as possible without going through these communication sites.... but still somedays could be dead boring....
So what do you do when you are bored to death? how do keep yourself from snoozing.....

Hi, kkanaka. I will just listen to some music. I will also, get online and post. Sometimes I will just research things that I have an interest for. I also would, go to the park and just walk for an hour. If I have an book, I will read it to make time go by faster.

So you admit you miss them My brother is also a teacher but only for 2 years so far. You could play some online games if you can i do that when i'm bored. There are planty sites that offer them such as bored.com and armorgames and dragongamez. All games aren't simple and you have to think and have skills to complete them. I like physic games like cargo bridge where you have to design a bridge that doesn't break under pressure. Give it a try it might be more fun than you think, have a great day

When I am bored, time seems to stand still. I have to find something to do. Big or small. I have to do something to lift me out of my boredom.

I come on MyLot of course! With all the interesting people and discussions going on, it's a sure cure for boredom!

Hi kkanaka.
When I am bored I tend to browse the web.... how I came to be here! I'm hoping that mylot will keep me entertained for a while!
I also listen to music, watch films or read. When all else fails I take the dog for a nice long walk. A bit of fresh air often helps blow away the cobwebs!

If I'm at work, I set a goal for myself and then as if I'm playing a sports game against somebody, I take my work as a challenge. When I was a janitor at the amusement park, it was a challenge to keep the dorm clean. I don't like anybody dirtying the work I did. I am a perfectionist and will work on something until it gets finished and is perfect. Many times I'd clean and the slobs would mess everything up and I'd go right back and clean up. It got to be that I was doing such a good job that I would see the guys cleaning up after themselves. When I worked at the school and public libraries, the challenge was putting the books in their correct places because somebody was always misplacing the things. So I drive myself and when I do this, the time goes by too fast. Many times, I have to rush to try to finish what I start!!! If I'm bored at home, I either eat or sleep. Or I push myself to keep writing (that's what I do on my computer - like now - when I'm not on myLot or Facebook.) The thing about me is that every job I've worked (except teaching and writing) has been very boring. And when I was younger, (it was easier to get a job and I could depend on my grandparents for money) I always quit the boring jobs or tried to have fun by being mischievious. But now working for survival means I have to figure out ways to hang in there with the job.

Setting a goal and working towards it is a motivation in itself to be active at workplace or while playing. I liked your comment saying you take your work as a challenge and tried to give your best in everything you did.....
But like you said we cannot give up jobs now because its boring we need to stick to it for survival purposes.....

In my opinion, it is decided by your psychology. I means the attitude to the doring days. If I were you, I would have a plan to pass the holiday.
Leave off the house and computer, if the weather is good, travel some place around your viliage. You also can find part time job. In the weekend, chatting with your friends, shopping with them.
If the weather is too bad or you have no mood to do everything, read some books or see a film.
No matter how boring the day is, you should not waste the time, because so many people admire you. After graduate, I don't enjoy the holiday any more. I so miss it.
Cherish it, and plan the time effectively.

I usually watch a movie from my phone or laptop. and I usually travel a lot which means I am not that bored. Go out once in a while. Plan a trip to somewhere so that you could have a break.

I usually surf the net and research on my fave Taiwanese boyband, Fahrenheit. I'm a big fan of Arron Yan and I can barely notice the time when I am reading news about him especially if I am watching him in youtube. I also join forums related to my Fahrenheit because interacting with my fellow Fahrenheit fans is so much fun!
