Smacking in Public

What would you do if you saw a parent hit their child in public? Is it worth saying or doing anything about it?

i wouldn't do anything, but i would feel sorry for that kid.. say NO to violance!

You wouldnt even report it to authorities???? what if that child showed up on that nights news???

I think it depends on the situation. If it was just a little swat on the bottom I think it is OK but if the parent is hitting the child like they would another adult then i think that is being abusive and would surely say something to the person.
