Museums are filled with the wonderful history of the dinoaur. At one time, dinosaurs were the kings of the earth. They were free to roam as they wished. Suddenly, their world would change. Dinosaurs were no more. Do you think that dinosaurs could survive in the world today? If they could, what kind of world would we live in now?

I'm quite sure they could but I think that would me the end of the homosapiens, lots of plants and other animals. I think dinosaurs are destroyers for some reason.

Thanks for responding. i dont really know if dinosaurs would know where to draw the line. Their instincts would be for survival and that is what would motivate them.

No, I don't think they could because I think if we magically re-engineered them through technology I'm not even sure we should develop (just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should) they would become high profile targets to crazed macho big-game hunters no matter how much we try to protect them. Look at rhinoes or tigers. Shooting one of them is a felony and no American wants to land in an African jail, especially for doing something so stupid. The State Department is not going to come help you. But people get arrested for illegally shooting animals everyday regardless of the consequences.

Thank you for your response. Hunters would probabbly narrow down the population if dinosaurs still lived. Animal rights don't always get the protection they deserve.

Yes! Dinosaurs can survive in the present world. They are extincted from this world due to some calamities and now the environment is not as that. But, given room for them, I doubt that whether we can live here, in this world. They may hunt us as in "Jurassic Park".

I think even if the dinosaur still exist today, they may not last that long because of this disorder wold. The earth is so destroyed because of man, it is so polluted and the climate has change a lot. So i think they will not survive in our time.
Thank you and God Bless..

Of course they could survive, however humans would have been endangered a long time ago because we might be the prey.

Sure they could....and any meat-eaters would most definately be well fed! Plant-eaters might not fair so well eventually mind you but then again you never know

LOL, the question is where would they survive? People have taken over everything and everywhere and everywhere "man" goes species start to become extinct or die out altogether. Dinosaurs probably wouldn't have a chance unless they could be used for meat.

Well, I do wonder. That is quite the interesting question to say the least. I really think that man would not have really risen to power had dinosaurs stuck around. Then again, perhaps so, we would have invented something to control them. Perhaps we would be raging war with dinosaurs. Then again, I think that we might not even exist and certainly it would be hard to imagine dinosaurs surviving in this world. There is just too much crowding. Still an intriguing question to say the least.

Maybe sea serpents are not mythological and some dinosaurs are surviving today ? I am not sure that terrestrial dinosaurs could survive today. If they could we would have dinosaurs' farms, and we would eat their meat and eggs : I would enjoy an omelet of dinosaurs' eggs, and I would have a two or three feet long dinosaur pet.

Just imagine what we could do with enough dinosaur eggs. Thanks for the witty response/

Hello sender621
I love dinosaurs and the thought of them returning to life truly is a fascinating one. Jurassic Park also happens to be my favorite film! haha.
You ask if dinosaurs could survive on Earth today and I'm not quite sure about that, you see during the Mesozoic Era there were a lot more oxygen in the air. That means that if they were to survive today they would need bigger or more effecient lungs. That being said there actually are reports many isolated places on Earth about living dinosaurs, like the Mokele Mbembe of Central Africa which is supposed to be a swamp living sauropod. And although these reports are highly unlikely to be true it is not unthinkable that if there were a few remnants of the dinosaurs alive today they would have gradually evolved their lungs to suit the oxygen level of today over a period of 65 million years.
