I've just finished watching Heroes Season 3 and its been an awesome experience watching this epic tv series. I have to say i would have missed such a classic had i not gone on to see this tv series. I'm downloading Lost Season 1 as well so i'm gonna watch that after i finish this season of Heroes.
So i want you to tel me about your favourite tv shows from the same genre. I've heard about tv shows like Prison break too but just heard i dont know if its actually good or just alright. Heroes is my first American tv series that i've watched and Lost is gonna be the next one, tel me which one should i choose next. Maybe some of you who are more of American tv shows lovers can tel me which shows to grab next.
So Recommend me some of your favourite tv shows.

I used to watch Heroes, have devoutly watched seasons 1-3. I have season 4 right now but sadly I'm not that interested in the series anymore. The plot just got too complicated for me. I heard that NBC has canceled the show. Too bad, I thought the show had promise.
If you like Heroes I think you'll enjoy Misfits. It's a British show about a band of delinquent youths doing community service who mysteriously develop powers during a weird lightning storm. It has only 6 episodes to date though.
If you're into murder mystery or crime-solving you'll enjoy CSI or NCIS. If you like to get into a serial-killing vigilante's head you might consider Dexter. If you're the geek kind of crime-solving fan you'll also like Bones (about a brilliant anthropologist who solves murders just by studying bones) and Numbers (a brilliant mathematician solving crime). Right now I'm watching Lie to Me (it's about a specialist who solves crimes and murders because he has a special talent for telling when people lie).
If you're into the supernatural you might enjoy shows like Supernatural (brothers with supernatural gifts) and True Blood (vampires, shapeshifters, werewolves...need I say more?).
There's a lot of TV shows to choose from. Try going to www.tv.yahoo.com, they have a complete show list with descriptions and reviews, so you can make more informed selections on the shows you'd want to watch.
Enjoy!

Now thats what i call a perfect reply, very precise. I would like to thank you for not only giving the names of these tv shows but for explaining what each of these shows is all about. If Misfits is anywhere near heroes i'll be delighted to watch it. But why it has only 6 episodes till date, is it still running or stopped ?
These shows you have mentioned like Dexter, CSI, Bones, Numbers, i'm getting excited to see them just because you have explained the theme of these shows in a proper way.
Lie to me, well its it's about a specialist who solves crimes and murders because he has a special talent for telling when people lie. You mean like the power Sylar has or say he took it from someone in the 3rd season, well then this showiece of heroes.
I watched Supernaturals for a few episodes just for a awesome looking girl in that tv show lol but maybe now i'll go back watch it for the story.
I'll go check out tv shows on tv.yahoo.com as you said and hopefully i'll find reviews helpful enough for me to select some really good shows from the list.

I meant, like the power Sylar has or say he took it from someone in the 3rd season, well then this show is a little piece of heroes.
I dont agree that after a bad third season of Heroes you would not even feel like watching the fourth season. I too have seen how third season was not upto the mark but still i wanna watch the fourth season hoping that there is something shead that would clear up the issues of the previous seasons and maybe it might get back on track since the story for the fourth season seems to be going somewhere near to its first season.

I don't know, I just lost interest in Heroes...
As for Lie To Me, the protagonist doesn't have special powers or anything, he just has a really keen sense of observation and he's devoted his life and career to studying people's expressions and body language. I think you'll enjoy it. I do :)
Happy viewing!

I watched the first season of heroes and i thought it was pretty good but to be honest its such a great idea for a tv series they could have done it more justice in that there could have been a bit more action and use of powers. I don't know myself but i hear flashforward is a pretty good series too :)

Everyone loved Heroes season 1 although same can't be said for the third season. I too think they messed it up in the third season with bad storyline and unnecessary events and happenings that definitely looked stupid specially in the fourth volume of the third season.

In my spare time,i like to spent time to watch American tv series.I have watched "PRISON BREAK" "FRIENDS""LOST"and"UGLY BETTY".

if you haven't wathed those tv series ,why don't you wach them.

I'll be watching Lost and Prison Break for sure, not too concerned about the other shows you recommended. Since i'm becoming a science fiction and thriller fan for the tv shows ever since i saw Heroes so i'm not in a mood to watch comedies. I suggest you to watch Heroes as soon as possible if you have not seen it already and you will surely thank me when you see the first season of Heroes, its awesome, something like you would have never thought or seen before.

I'm not much o a couch potato and I'd say I am just a housewife who wants to be entertained as well as be informed so my tv is mostly tuned in discovery and travel and living channels.
But if I want to watch a series, it is gonna be BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, CSI, CROSSING JORDAN.These shows have an appeal to me since I am fond of detective and crime investigations shows.
Enjoy.:-)

Yeah I'll watch CSI and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER too but thats after i find some tv show to watch after Lost that has the same science fiction theme and level of Heroes and Lost. I'm not a couch potato either but ever since i've seen Heroes i have been left wanting for more of such tv shows but i do feel there might not be tv shows as good as Heroes and Lost.

I've never really been into series that much, but not too long ago my sister recommended that I watch one called Oz, and it was great. It's not on TV anymore, as it was made in the late 90's-early 2000's I think, but I still highly recommend you download the full series. It's just called Oz and it's about prison, a little bit similar to Prison Break in the first season, as it's all to do with prison, and not outside of it. Check it out some time.

Alrite thats a new name you recommended, OZ. I'll check the review for it and maybe watch a few initial episodes for it to judge whether its good enough or not. But i think its too old show, late 90s, but still i'll give it a try.

Well I've never watched Heroes, Lost or Prison Break. I like to watch Burn Notice and Royal Pains. Burn Notice is about a guy that is a spy that gets "caught" basically and he is on a mission to find out who turned him in. It is very action packed and some of the things he does is awesome. Royal Pains is about a doctor that loses his ability to practice in a hospital so he caters to the rich people in the Hamptons. His brother helps him as well. It's funny yet intriguing. I hope this helps you on your American tv series journey.

I have never ever heard of those two tv shows you have mentioned. But that might be good in a way because i might be interested to see some little known shows too provided that they are worth watching. I'll check out reviews for Burn Notice and see if its good enough to be watched.
