Dinner is important in my country and people usually eat rice more than bread.....I eat rice with curry and salads. What you eat for dinner? What people usually eat for dinner in your country?

Rice is the staple food in my country than bread, so majority of the citizenry eats rice during lunch and dinner, and sometimes, even breakfast especially for those whose work is more physical that require more energy. In the morning, I take bread together with a hot coffee.

Since I am from the Philippines, I eat rice during dinner. However, sometimes I eat bread instead of rice. Rice is a staple food for most of the Asian countries including the Philippines.

Since I joined the gym to trim my tummy the past two months, I have stopped eating rice for dinner. I still have it either for breakfast or lunch, but avoid it for dinner. I prefer wheat based items such as wheat breat or rotis for dinner. Cheers! Ram

I eat all kinds of things for dinner. Sometimes I make a rice dish. Sometimes I make a pasta dish. I try to incorporate some kind of meat like chicken, beef or pork into each meal. I almost always have a salad available because that is what I eat for lunch. I put chic peas/Garbanzo beans on top of my salad with salad dressing. I sometimes do a side dish for dinner. It depends on what the main dish is. If it is pasta or rice, that is usually filling enough so that we don't need a side dish. But, if it is just a chicken or beef main dish that isn't served on top of or cut up and mixed in with rice or pasta, I will make a side dish. Usually a vegetable sauteed in butter or oil with onions or shallots and some kind of seasoning or spice. I like 2 particular vegetable sides. One is broccoli sauteed in oil for a few minutes with garlic and red pepper flakes and then simmered in 1/4 cup of water for another few minutes. The other is green beans boiled in water for a few minutes. Then I sautee some shallots (chopped finely) butter and lemon juice. Then I mix the shallot mix in with the beans and cook them for an additional few minutes. My 2 favorite kinds of meals are Mexican and Italian. But, they tend to pack on the pounds so I try to refrain from making them more than once a week. I also love Asian dishes but, again, rice packs on the pounds for me too so, that is another thing I try to only make once a week.

We try to have our dinner early if everybody is around. And dinner would either be rice or noodles. I love salads and soups. So most times we have them as well.

here in the philippines, we usually have rice for dinner and bread for breakfast... or bread are basically for breakfast and not for other meals... the bread for breakfast is usually what we call pan de sal.. i asked my mom one time, why pan de sal instead of other breads, she answered that its because its not sweet as the other, so it could be a substitute for rice... but now, bakeries have been baking sweet pan de sal already
