I have a degree in drama and theatre arts though since doing the degree I have also taken IT courses and have some qualifications in that area as well as a level 1 in councelling which i would love to go back to once my daughter is at school. I am also trying to teach myself sign language and would love to learn Japanese. most of my learning probably wont amount to a career (unless I want to councel over active computers with the language of spanish!!) though I feel good when I am learning something new - even if I am only just teaching myself without getting the qualifications.
Do you love to learn even if it is only for your own benifit or did you put all that behind you once you had passed your qualifications in which you had to do?

we the same concept... students forever...
I always love learning new things.
I learned to be a computer enthusiast, medical transcription, culinary, singing, acting, dancing, selling...
What I enjoyed most was when I beoome a stage manager of a play.
We got to practice everyday, self-discipline, and being patient.
I learned also a sign language.
Last month I was about to enroll in welding... I want to learn that...
but due to my little skin condition it was not push through, maybe some other time... ( I hope I can still avail the scholarship offered)
Learning is a continuing process... Let's not stick to what we hve learned from school. Even if we finish our study, we still need to wlcome some oppurtunities to learn.
Have a nice day!

I also love to learn new things, I am a commerce graduate, then did 3 years IT course, and am trying to finish my post graduation in computers, I took 7 MCP exams and did my MCSD and completed 4 papers in MCSE, I always like to study something, if I dont study or learn life seems very boring even though I work and have a family at home to look after..... currently concentrating on completing my post graduation, but I also try to learn some handicrafts, learnt to create own earrings..... I do some photo and video editing also, these also self-taught, if you have the passion to learn you can be your own teacher... learning is a never ending business.. good luck in whatever to learn (Iam also practicing how to write using my left hand - this is also ongoing process)

I feel like learning is a process that is always taking place in life. I'm in college and I wouldn't be in college if I didn't want to be here. I'm going for my bachelor's in Accounting and I only have a year left. I want to be a CPA, so that will involve either a Master's degree or an extra 30 hours of coursework. Learning is not going to end with college for me because tax laws and accounting policies are always changing. I will have to keep up to date with these to keep my certification if I pass the CPA exam.

Love of learning is a great asset. We all can learn something new every day in even the most informal settings that helps us acquire wisdom and common sense. I do not feel the need for any more "formal education" or degrees and I lament the fact that our educational system is basically in tatters.
But learning how to acquire and apply information is a challenge and fun for me.
I am blessed to be homeschooling my grandchild because it enables me to actually learn things I did not learn in my younger days and it forces me to stretch, grow, and exercise my brain. And, it's so much fun!

Hi,
I myself preferred diverse learning. Being a student of engineering myself, I take interest in studying psychology, philosophy, architecture, history etc, even though they don't directly contribute to my own field. Most of the things I've learned were self-taught. People who regard learning as a hobby itself, only satisfy themselves in studying more and more different subjects. I've been a martial artist and writing motivational articles is one of my many hobbies. I still want to peek into more and more fields, like German Language, History of English Literature, The Constitution of America etc. When you integrate the diverse knowledge you gain, it enhances different types of capabilities hidden in different portion of your brain. That is, diverse learning lets the brain get matured in a more uniform way. Thanks
God bless you
