Many people at some point in time "dress to impress" do you think it is really nessecary do you think that we need to make a statment with the clothes we wear for some one to look at us. Do you think that clothes really depend on how you feel at a point in time.

Generally I do not dress to impress, but I have dressed to look good and make myself feel good, on special occasions like for example if I go out somewhere nice for a romantic meal, I do try to wear a nice dress, something feminine.

That sounds great i like young ladies that know when and how to dress .Its always good to dress normal at times and not to go over the board as most young females of today are doing

Pick me Terrence, You see my hand over here. Well i believe that dressing to impress is just a way to show your mood. I like to do it by the way because i get more attention that way, too bad when i get the attention i can hardly do anything with it. So are you telling me Terrence that have never dressed to impress. I wonder?

Yes i have dressed to impress but at times i relly have to ask my self if it is really nessecary but at times it really has to depend on the mood i am in . But most times to tell the truth i don't know if i really had dressed to impress.

For me it is not really regarding the necessity but it is actually what we want and a natural thing to do as part of our consciousness. At times wearing kind of clothes can depend on our personality. Most likely wearing kind of clothes can depend on how we feel like we must wear thick because it is cold and we must wear light color and thin clothes since it is hot.

It's funny. I used to love to dress up, do the makeup and the whole bit. Jewelry, makeup, nice clothes, hair fixed. I was much younger and had much more energy back then. Now I'm lucky if I get dressed at all and when I do dress, it's simply to cover my bod and the clothes MUST be comfortable! Stretch knit pants and a loose top and I'm good. My daughter is the exact opposite. She has to have her hair and makeup fixed and is very picky even with the jeans she will wear. I tried to tell her "jeans are jeans" but NO. She won't wear them unless she likes the style. And I never even see the difference! But she does. She also has to paint her nails and wear jewelry at all times. To me it just seems like too much work. But then, I'm old and tired and she's still young. :)

Yes, I think it is necessary sometimes. At work for instance, or when going to a job interview. It will make you feel better if you look smart, and you will give a better impression too, so I always try to "dress to impress" on job interviews, important meetings and so on. It usually pays off too!
