Does anyone who currently has a Triond or Bukisa account know which topics are always popular? Which types of subjects generate the most views or are most searched? Thanks in advance!

Well, I would have to say you would get the most consistent views writing recipes. Everyday people need something to eat, so they search random recipes. Where as if you wrote a top ten song list, you wouldn't get views normally on it. That is what I try to focus on mainly, because I want to earn passive income, being able to write around 1000 recipes, so that I can stop writing and still earn money. So far it is working very well right now for me. Good luck. I even wrote an article explaining how to do well on Triond using recipes, the link to it is in my profile if you want to read about it.

How many recepies have you created so far and on average how many views do you get from them? Also, which types of foods get the most views; desserts, or easy-to-make meals, or what? : )

oh. yes. these recipes also will be useful, if they are unique, and have catchy headlines. like, if you can talk about the calories, and the ease about making them, .. and, if you can highlight, about the food being FULLY VEGETARIAN, or ANTI-FAT, etc.. goodluck on this. Hope to eat some of the recipes soon! online ..

Most of them are not my own original recipes, I have a big huge family cook book with my grandmas, mothers, and other relatives recipes, haha. I have made my own recipes though, mostly healthy smoothie ones. And I make some but add different ingredients into them, like mars bars in cookies, instead of chocolate chips, etc.. I have wrote about 150 recipes I think. Usually right off the start a recipe will get anywhere from 100-1000 views within a couple of days, usually around 500 for the first day or two though, then they slow down to about 50-100 views for another couple of days, then they slow down to about 10-20 for a couple of days, and then finally they slow down to about 5-10 views a day on average for each recipe. And that comes out to average at about 25 cents each recipe, each month, sometimes more, sometimes less, but usually around 25 cents each recipe/month from then on. I know this because I have recipes from way back that are still earning about 25-50 cents each month. I find that the desserts usually do the best, stay away from big meals, the little things are better. Mostly because it takes forever to write out a big recipe, and then because most people are always in the mood for desserts, especially brownies and cookies :). I have also found that smoothies are a big thing too. Yes consultrainer, I usually make sure to put in the words "healthy" or "natural" when I am writing out a recipe which is meant to be so.

i am no expert in this, but, having been a member of readbud, and reading most of the articles there, I understand that "making money online, search engine optimization, web hosting, health, obesity, alternative medicines, tips for parenting" are some of the topics, which attract all the attention you can grab. ofcourse, there would always be a craze, if you are an expert in some popular subject, and write about that.

there are two parts to your last query. is readbud a good website: YES. .. but, again, it depends all on what you say to be good. For me, anything is good, if it contains material that I can read and update my knowledge .. or have fun just by reading. I am enjoying all the articles that READBUD supplies. THE second part is, "with decent pay". : I am not sure .. there had been many topics here in mylot too, about the website being a scam. I have not heard of anyone yet, who got their payment with readbud. And, I have tried to see, if I can contribute any article to that SITE, so that I can make a guess about the payment algorithm. but, could not . i AM content with mylot, for payment. And, I read readbud.. for entertainment, and fun. and ofcourse, knowledge..

Hello Qman, I've been with Bukisa for over a year and even though I've signed up with Triond, I have yet to contribute anything there. So, what I'm going to tell you here would apply mostly to Bukisa as I have a little experience with the site. Your question is what topics are always popular. To know the answer, you need to know who your audience are. If you're targeting the audience from within Bukisa as in the members there, your best topics are those related to making money online, writing tips and seo. If you're targeting audience from search engines, you won't go wrong with articles that are about amazing facts, weird facts and little known facts about most anything. You would also more likely be chosen to appear on the featured articles page which will mean your article would receive much views. My best article at Bukisa is Most Infectious Diseases. Here's the link if you'd like to read about it: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/219632 These type of articles rank quite well with search engines if you've chosen a niche with little competition. You shouldn't be much concern about the popularity of a topic rather you should find a topic which has little competition with substantial searches. This way you'll get a lot of views. In fact if you choose too popular a topic like internet marketing, you'll find the competition too brutal to overcome.
