Left to my own devices I write like a fiend in the wee hours of the morning. I don't have to think at all, I just write. Sometimes people comment on my work, but when I see the title I don't remember writing it. I find this fascinating and brilliant.
My life is now owned by a nine month old grandson, and my writing time is sleeping time. I'm so lonely without my words, but my grandson is my love.
When is your favorite time to write, and does it fit into your schedule?

I have no real schedule so everything fits right in. Haha I write in the late evening when everyone has gone to bet and it is quiet. A person can actually concentrate. Yes, I do some of my most gifted work then. Just so happens my grandson is my love too.

He is seven. Haven't seen him in awhile. He is quite a little guy. I hope his situation right now doesn't change that.

Finally u are back to mylot again, starting discussions!! haha =D I've been waiting for u, for soooo long!! I have always like your discussion, and those words u used in them, are so artistic, full of flair, and meaning in them.. hehe
Well, i'm not one who's fond of writing, and dun really like to talk as well.. haha =D SImple because i'm lazy to even think about what to respond!! haha =D SO, i will only write, whenever i feel like it, and whatever comes to my mind, i will just say, without thinking that much, to create a beautiful phrase just for that purpose.. hehe

anawar hi I used to write late at night and since being forced to stay in this tiresome retirement center with a roommate who does not like to stay up late I have to find other times to write around mylot so I write at meal times as I am always early.I am journaling to keep my writing hand in and jot down things about the oddities of some of the residents here. some are real characters. Oh you have a grandson, how wonderful, my 51 year old son refuses to marry so doubt I will get to be a grandmother. sob. I started to write my autobiography and somehow got stuck when I got my computer and my monitor back out of storage.hi writing is something thats part of me, I cannot not write, I have to do it every day . but its a release and a pleasure too.

Hi Hatley, long time, no see.
I'll bet you do meet some great characters for stories where you live. And, I bet you see tons of potential stories in the making, just by watching everyone.
Whenever I journal I realize just how boring my life is, and then I get depressed.
Doesn't sound like you'll make it to grandmother, but you never know. I don't know why I didn't see it coming. I have two grandchildren now, and I still have a hard time thinking of myself as a grandmother. (I really do look much younger than my age.)

hi anawar oh I have been around but got sort of behind on all myfriends discussions. I was just thinking as I read that you really do look much younger than your age about a conversation I had with a resident here. she asked me how old I was and I said I was 83, and she said oh no you're kidding me. You arent wrinkled at all or all shriveled up.Ihad to laugh and thank her for saying I did not look my age. For one thing I am overweight so guess that keeps wrinkles at bay but am really trying to lose weight as its better for me as a diabetic to be slim and not fat.
