paging alice, mylot stops me from using the search engine!!!

I am using Mylot search engine more often not just to gain reward from doing it but it is convenient for me since I'm searching topics which is related to my Mylot activities.
Just a minute ago, I was searching as usual then this popped out We have noticed some suspicious activity for this account. Please try your search again later.[u][/u] Now, I'm doing something illegal here. But, how and why?

I think, it is a word of caution. .. to avoid overusing the search engine.
even I have got annoyed when I got this message, and sent a private message to mylot admin, asking for bypassing the PAYMENT feature for searching, after one hits a maximum searches per day.
i think, they are working on this. PREVIOUSLY the searches never gave out web links. NOW it is working! .. so, there would be a surprise to us soon from ALICE.

Yes, I thought of it as a word of caution, too. But, how are we to know that we reached the maximum hits per day since we just do not count our activities here including searching...and how many, by the way, is the maximum hits per day?

i too could not make a guess about the maximum. and, I don't think, there is a numerical value to that. I tried to ignore the counting, taking the literal meaning from guidelines.. " proceed with using the search tool, as if you are using your regular browser searches... " .. and, got the slap.
i hope GAA would just give us a drop-in and enlighten.

but,. .. using it the natural normal way, gives out a warning.. of illegal activity. that is the question.
anyhow, I have not seen the other discussion. Will go there now.

yeah, i saw that. since search bar is still in the experimental stage i believe we just have to be patient on this one because if we don't then were in big trouble with the admin. just stick to it and search for a limited time.

mylot search is still in it's experimental stage, i assume that we will be informed with the results if search bar is still applicable for earning. we want to make sure that other users won't use it for abuse. NO, i don't think you're doing anything illegal. besides, i think they will also have to create rules on mylot research.@eurekafemme (5876)

Admin must set the rules for using the search engine.Albeit, we are all grateful for the rewards they gave us whenever we use it, it is confusing sometimes not knowing when not to cross the line.
I believe, though that admin will and can find a way to fix this. :-)

Actually I keep trying to use it to search for discussions, but I kept forgetting to hit the discussions tab first so I kept getting web pages. I even got a 5 cent bonus once when I accidentally was trying to search for discussions and got web links. I don't use it that often but I do occassionally. I guess they just don't want people abusing it and trying to get extra rewards.

I think you need to do more than 10 searches in order for you to get rewarded. But, I'm not really sure about the figure. I just did a little counting last night so as I won't get that warning again since I am doing a lot of searches. I love using this Mylot search engine since there are more links to the words/phrase I am searching for compared to other search engines.
It isn't bad being rewarded especially if you are using this in a fair and just manner. Thank you, BambooPanda for sharing your thoughts.;-)

I think it happens when you do too many similar searches or search for similar phrases in a short period of time. It does not necessarily mean that you did anything wrong, but I believe it is just their way of trying to avoid people misusing the search function just to get the rewards. Sometimes it is difficult to find the exact phrasing to get the results that you need, though.

Meaning your just searching words you really doesn't have to search? Because of the earning reward? If this is the case, hOw is Mylot to know that your searches are not really searches per se? This is a search engine...

On a second thought using search engine to search it does not consider unusual but to use search engine for something other than search, meaning just to earn some extra money it considers as unusual.

Hi, I think cuz of the traffic on mylot... you can give it a try again tomorrow cuz I believe there is no reason for mylot to ban you from using search engine... try again and update here with us ... thx

I've been warned so many times since I am using the search engine especially if I am working on an article. It is easier plus I love to use it because there are more links here than other search engines.
Whenever I see the warning sign,I'm giving it an hour or so before starting to use the search engine again.:-)
It works that way.:-)
