How many lives does a cat have?

I've always wondered how that phrase came to be, too. I don't know how it started!

I think its because cats seem to survive things that would kill most other animals, they land on their feet - a goodly number of times and actually fall from higher distances with less damage than any other animal who hasn't learned to "fly." no, they don't have 9 lives, but they sure can survive things others can't

I think this just means cats ae very tough animals and hard to kill. We have had several who were injured badly and yet came back to full health.

This is a very old saying.... And there are many superstitions regarding cats.Some calls them a omen too. This saying is very appropriate. Cats are really amazing animal as they are very intuitive.. It is very tough to kill them,specially if the place is a closed ones.They has the ability to land in the ground safely from a great height. . And they also have a terrific feeling of danger.They can feel the danger much before.. By this way,many tribal people traces the time of a natural calamity,which may happen in the future.

Some people told me that cats have nine lives.

Cat is flexible .They can jump on the ground from high land easily.i rear a cat named maomao.she is very timidity.i love her ,so whatever how many lives she have,i treasure her nowaday life.
