Best house trainning for your puppy?

I think the best house training I could show my dog is how to dial 911. I have heard of stories wherein a dog saved his master's life because it was able to call 911. Isn't that amazing!

I would add to the crate training response that the crate is treated like the puppy's home. He will not pee in his home. Keep the food and water next to the crate to reinforce the home environment. Also, use positive reinforcement when the puppy pees in the right area. Use praise, treats or a play toy when you get the response you want. The spanking and rubbing the nose actions have been around for a long time, but unless you are right on top of the problem, the puppy won't understnad why you are mad. Positive reinforcement works so much faster for behavior modification.

Crate traning and puppy pads are the only way to go. The proper method for crate training must be used in order to make you potty training effective. The way you should go about doing your training is make sure that you have the proper size crate first. Choose one that is large enough she can grow into it but also has a divider panel that you can use to make it smaller for her for now. You will need to make sure that you take her out immediately as soon as you let her out of the crate. She should also be given the opportunity to go out about 30 minutes after she has eaten/drank anything. Also if she has an accident put her in the crate immediately and take her out as soon as you let her out again.
