The new Philippine president's name is Benigno Aquino III. His nickname is Noynoy, or just Noy for short.
Now, the Filipinos truly has a way of shortening names. We call ourselves Pinoy.
When the new president was elected, everybody started calling him President Noynoy. Soon it was cut down to Prez Noy. In no time, the people are already calling him
P Noy.
Well, I just thought how apt the term was. P Noy was every inch Pinoy.

Hello there,
regarding the P-noy nick name, i believe it was Noynoy himself who propose that and not any one else.there was a video that he said, i try to find it but i guess i can try again later. as for the coin, i don't what amount is the bank going to put noynoy in there.
but as far as i can remember back in the election period most people call him just noy i never heard people calling him president noy. maybe they should put noynoy in the five thousand bill too, if there is one, make now!2 people like this

It's no surprise to see varied names mentioned to him given the inventiveness of a filipino but in some strange way I'm leaning toward the adequate Mr. President. To suggest another how about "master Noy" now that everyone's admiration is with him now and that he's going to lead the country for next several years. I see it is informal but who cares?

you've got to be kidding me? they made famous people coins even if they're still alive. how pathetic, Noynoy wanna be hasn't done any thing yet and then they make him a freaking coin? ha i am sure they will hide in shame if they realize that Noy wasn't the one they wanted to be.

I think that it suits him well. For a start he promoted simplicity. I hope that it would be successful. I never voted in the elections but i hpe that whoever wins can do his job well. I hope every Filipino should know that presidents don't make us rich they just implement laws and make life living bearable. They don't make miracles in one night.

i believe yresh that it's the people that should make the effort to make this country rich and great again. it has nothing to with whom ever the president is, trouble is most people depend on the government and if they don't feel the change they will rally, it's the same thing over and over again.

When ever i talk to my friends in Philippines they talk about this new president and the nice steps he is taking for good of the country and people in general..
