I didn't have an appropriate father figure when I was a child. I see many Father's honored as biological, Dad's. My Father is in Heaven, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. How did you honor your Father in Heaven today?

I do not believe in specific day for Father's ..every day is Father's Day, Mother's Day ..and every other Day constructed. I love my mother, father and everyone else in my life every day and do not believe just celebrating a day. Its all day for them.

I live in the US. As you celebrate every day as honoring your parents, we do too, however we also have a specific day for Mothers and Fathers. We also have a Grandparents day. Having a specific day jogs some peoples memories and gives us occasion to treat our parents with special respect.
Prosperous mylotting

Can't say I have given proper honor to my heavenly father yet today. It's still early though.

Good to know that there are dedicated dates to celebrate these things and now I want a date reserved for husband & wife day. What do you think . Do not know if its already there :)

i didn't know my father until i was 14. until then, i was the school's joke as someone without parents (i was sent to school by my aunt, my foster mother). i so longed to meet my father and tell him what a lousy being he was.
but when i was 11, i came to know the Lord Jesus and He made me know forgiveness. so once during our summer evangelical outing, i met my father and i didn't have anything rude to say to him.
Father's day, the celebration, didn't have any meaning to me until i was married and had my girl, she's a perfect picture of a "Papa's girl".

Thank you for sharing your insight, both heavenly and as an earthly "Dad".

ur welcome. i really am glad i found mylot. i have always been more of having my thoughts to myself. haven't really been talking a lot about my life. i am amazed at how we can let our thoughts out here freely and people here do listen. :)
