in gathering or in any occasion there is always a joke about where and how they met their partners. a cousin of my wife even told us once that she met her partner at a bingo social. he was the price when she called BINGO har har har. it was funny for her husband was handsome and looks like a model. so when their gay friends heard that the gay friends will react where is that BINGO socials held i would like to try to play bingo there too. har har har. my wife kids around by teling them she met me at a beauty parlor and i am the one who gave her a pedicure and manicure not a good joke but got used to it already. so how about you what jokes do you hear or you say about where you met your partner?

I haven't heard any jokes about how my husband and I met. Nor have I heard a joke about how he proposed to me. We met at Travis AFB, at a Civil Air Patrol function. I was selling cokes and he kept coming over and buying cokes. He asked me out after the last coke. Now the proposal is something different. We went to a Civil Air Patrol Nationwide Convention. We were enjoying dinner and social. The band was playing. Ken slipped away, I thought to ask the band for a special music. Next thing I knew the Band Leader was telling the crowd that a gentleman was asking his girlfriend to marry him. I was the girlfriend. The Band Leader then asked what my answer was? Mmmmm, in front of several thousand people. Of course I said YES.
That was 37+ years ago.
Prosperous mylotting

Well, I met my boyfriend during the wake of the father of a friend of a friend. LOL. It happened that we have friends in common and we attended that wake. Weeks after that, I got to see him again when we went out with our common friends and he happened to be there. We talked and exchanged numbers and that's how it all started. LOL

I haven't make a joke of how me and my husband meet because we meet at work. Actually, I am one of the panelist during his interview and I don't want to hire him because I thought that he is a rich kid who would not want to work much. But most of the panelist liked him. I'm the minority. The rest is history.

My husband and I met while living in the same apartment complex. He lived right across the way from me. And that's the truth! LOL
Happy mylotting!

Hi, se7enthbird
I met my husband in school. We were taking up the same course but we were introduced only during the end of our third year. He was friends with my friends and we started to get along well after a three-day field trip where we sat next to each other in the bus. I used to kid him that he manipulated the seating arrangement so that he could get close to me. Sometimes he admits it, sometimes he playfully denies it oh well...
Have a nice day!

we met with my wife during the missionary seminar in our church. I was playing a piano there and she saw me while playing. She admired me so much and when I noticed her presence I came to ask her about her name and that was the beginning of our friendship

Though I am still not married but I hope to marry my bf in future, I would like to share my story will everyone here. There is no joke in our meeting. We met for the first time on first day of our degree college. There was nothing special in that meeting, we did not talk until the time when he first asked me "Did I know marathi?" Which is the local language(indian) here. I said somewhat and then he said We all must know marathi as it is spoken by majority here. I said I am learning, thats it. This was all we talked about in our first conversation. So nothing special about it right? After that day 2 long years passed and we didn't have any kind of attraction towards each other until the time he started flirting with me. He used to show off to his friends that we are in a relaionship so don't tease us. Gradually all of them started accepting the fact that we really are in a relationship and in that process I actually fell in love with him, but he was not in lovc with me. I proposed him, he denied but later after 2 months when I started moving away from his life he too realised that he loves me and then We got bound in True relationship and nothing fake. Quite strange, what do you say?

I've known my husband since I was twelve. He was the brother of one of my good friends. Its wasnt till I was in 9th grade that we got really close. He was three years older so we didn't have any classes together.
But what he tells everyone is that he finally got the courage up to ask me out, but I wouldn't give him the time of day. It took over a year for me to tell him yes.
He left to the Navy while I was still in highschool. My senior year he came home to see me for like a month. He left and came back a week later and proposed. Of course there was no hesitation. I told him yes. We were married a month later.
WE just celebrated our five year anniversary this month. But he still tells that same line on how I would give him the time of day and I made him prove himself for almost a year before I would date him.
