We all want to make extra money otherwise we wouldn't be here. With all of the websites and advertisements out there that promise you will get rich if you join their business there are a lot of scams. We know that if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is, but sometimes the scam is wrapped up so well, we have no idea that we have been scammed until it is to late. So my question is - have you ever fallen prey to an online scam when you were trying to find a way to make extra money? What was the scam? Were you able to recover money back? What do you look for to help you to decide that something is or is not a scam?

I have never fallen prey to an online scam because I am not willing to give credit card details or pay for websites that promise lots of money. If they are able to give me money over time then they don't need me to pay them just to verify that I have a credit card or any of the other rubbish that they tell me.
I have used a few websites in the past where they have let me earn money and paid out a couple of times and then once I have started to put a little more effort in to the website then they have disappeared or shut down the website or even just changed the payout method so that people in the UK cannot earn a payout and then I have just got fed up and left the website.
I have used a lot of websites in my time and most of them have paid out so I have always been very lucky.
I always use common sense when I am looking at a website though and if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!
