Is it unhealthy to exercise and starve yourself?

Recently, I've been really cautious about my weight and figure. Even though I'm a guy, living in Asia where everyone pretty much has the same body figure as a pencil is quite hard since I'm "fat" in their terms (although my western aka nonasian friends think otherwise and think I should start gaining more weight). For the past 6 months, I lost 8 kg or 17.6 lb by swimming rigorously and only drinking water plus eating a tiny dinner (usually just one slice of bread). Doing this causes my stomach to always growl and feel empty. But recently, I've heard that starving yourself can be dangerous. I researched it on google and found it was unnecessary and can get you sick but I was wondering whether it would effect my health in the long run.

The worst thing you can do while watching you diet is skip a meal. It has just the opposite effect of what you want. You need to have at least four regular meals every day.

DOn't ever starve yourself as that can seriously effect your health in the long run. Whenever your hungry just eat some fruits or drink plenty of fruit juices they are really good and give you high energy. Exercise is more than enough to lose weight. Just workout regularly and make sure you consult your health physician before starting anything or trying anything new. All the best!
