How often do you go to the gym? Can you describe the gym where you go to? I have recently signed up at a local gym which I think has the lowest monthly rate. It is not air-conditioned and has many gadgets or machines you can use. The place is big but because of the equipment and the many members, it becomes a bit too crowded for comfort. Members have to be careful not to hit other members, etc. I am not complaining but simply describing the gym I'm in. How about you? I hope you too will describe your gym.

I don't have enough free time to go to the gym but I definitely love practicing different kinds of sports and that's why I try to do everything connected to exercises for strengthening.I go swimming, jogging, riding a bike or at least walking when I am not at work.

Hi mokkka and meluan: I think that time is a big factor that makes people don't go to the gym. At least, I have to dedicated and important time of my life in working so that's a big sacrifice for my health but it's necessary to earn my money. However I agree that I should exercises more often. I have spoken about this with my brother who needs the same too. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Hi Cutie: I'd like to go to the gym. Unfortunetly, I have to work until late in the evening so I only have three days where I could go to the gym and I think that it would be a waste of money to pay the cost of a Gym for a month when you could only go three days a week. I have a local jean next to my corner and I think it's fine, it has many gadgets. Thanks for asking us this question. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Three times a week to the gym is good enough. You do not have to be there everyday to see results. When I am busy, this is the minimum number of times that I get to the gym. If I am pressed for time, I go running instead because there are a lot of open spaces in my place.

I use to go the gym across town for some classes and to work out with my cousin a few days a week. It is a huge place with so many exercise equipments everywhere. They have a room for different classes and i would take zumba classes two days a week. I did not have to pay for a embership fee because everytime i would just go with my cousin and she has a VIP card with the member and everytime she goes she can bring someone for free and that would be me, i was so lucky to be able to go for free. Now that i work full time, i have been working out while take a bath or shower. I have weights in the shower and do some weights i also hold them onto my thigs and do some marching with me holding onto my legs as i feel that does work. I do some kicks as well and i jus try to do as much as i can at home because it is free and i don't have any equipment at home but i do know exercises i can do at home and not have to go to a gym to look better.

Haha my first experience at a gym was one year ago when I decided I need to do something to lose weight . So I took a friend of mine and went there . We couldn't walk in at the beginning. I was freaked out that there were good looking guys exercising there and I was looking fat . But in the end we signed up and started there , staying like 2 hours per day , at all the machines , But after three weeks I couldn't see a big progress and because I was about to leave for holiday . So I quitted . Still haven't returned after a year . Don't know if I will , I was actually thinking about going swimming . I find this more attractive.

Hi Cutie18f. I've been going to the gym for four going on five years now and must admit if it wasn't for that i'd probably look like a whale right now. Anyway at the moment I pay £31.50 which is a special rate I pay through work and as long as I continue to go my fee will always remain the same. It does work as a good incentive to keep going and keeping fit thought knowing that your paying for it. I do enjoy the gym but must admit sometimes if I go too much I do get a little bored and have to resort back to running or my fitness DVDs for a while. My gyms fairly small though and the instructors are really friendly so never have a problem with the people there. Does get slightly over crowded at times though so sometimes you find yourself rushing to a machine to get there before someone else.

I used to go to the gym It was airconditioned, which I prefer, and has the best equipment here in the city. I liked it there because eventhough the facilities are great, it was not that expensive. I stopped going there because I just do not have the time anymore. Besides, I do really do not like going to the gym alone. I like having a gym buddy. Have a nice day!

To be honest, I have not been in one in a while, mostly due to time, and financial constraints. I work late in the evening, and go to school during the day so there is little opportunity to go. There are some gyms around here that are 24 hours, but most of them are far away, unreachable if you don't have a car, which would be nice for me in the middle of the night, where I am somewhat free. Anyway, the last gym I went to was a smaller gym, not these large mega gyms that are popping up. At the time, I was going there as a stress reliever and lifting weights was a good idea I thought. I must have been under tremendous stress because I had bulked up quite a bit ( I was already big and pudgy, but now bigger stronger heavier and more musclebound) Then I started going because I like getting bigger and stronger, and got a high off of growing until I realize I might have outgrown the weights. Nothing was heavy anymore and I found myself taking weights off other machines. This place was for older people and those that was toning their bodies, not becoming musclebound beasts as I was doing. Also, I am a bit shy, so I get nervous working with other people at times since it feels intimidating. So I am looking for a place with a less crowded atmosphere. I'm hoping with my new schedule coming up that I can go back to a gym to continue my quest to become a bigger stronger animal.

Yes, when I have the time (like now), I go to the gym about 6x a week. I make sure I get a day off so that I won't get injured. I go to Slimmers World which allows its members to go to all of its branches. I usually go to the nearest one either to my house or work. It's airconditioned and has lots of gadgets. What I like about it is that I can watch cable while on the treadmill. I use to attend a lot of the group exercise but lately I have been favoring running on the treadmill or the stepper. My doctor says I should get off running the treadmill because it might injure my knees. She's wrong, it injured my foot. I might have to do some biking instead.

Exercise out doors as far as possible. There are two advantages of doing whatever you are doing out side. One advantage is that it gives your body a chance to get a lot of the much needed fresh air and sunshine. The second advantage is that the surroundings keep you perked up and it is a break form remaining cooped up all day long

I go to the gym around twice a week for strength training. The only indoor cardio I do is some form of aerobics, around twice a week. But there's a catch. I use my bike to get me anywhere and everywhere. So that's around 30-60mins of cardio each day, everyday. I listen to my body and give myself days off when i need them. I usually just do some light walking on those days.
