Do you ever have deja vous. When something unique unto itself in your perception triggers the feeling in the back of your mind that yu have been there before doing and saying the exact same thing as you are doing at the moment you get that deja Vous feeling. I thnk everyone gets that feeling at one point or another, I have never known anyone who had never had deja vous. What do you think they are or what do they mean? Is it our subconcious trying to mark a future place in time for us because we are supposed to do something/not do something/go somewhere, etc? Do you think that they are a tiny glimpse at a snapshot of the near future? Mine usually are not harbingers of anything or signals for me to perform/not perform some essential task. In fact normally the premonitions come to me in dreams, occassionally in daydreams but more often when I am completely knocked out. Most of the time they are run of the mill, common, and to the waking me, with bits of the conversation or whatever still fresh in my mind only for a little while after I wake up, often I find myself thinking "how dull!" or "how odd". When the DV moment hits though, it is unmistakable and the memory of being in that moment is normally exact. It is never good or bad, almost never do the preface anything unpleasant or even really significant, though the moment is usually more significant than in the dream vecause I have the context of actually bein in that moment. Then usually the conversation or whatever makes a whole lot more sense. Does it happen to you too? What do you think they are or what they are for?
