religion: a good type of business

Would you agree that religion is a good type of business?I heard some sayings that true religion one become wealthy.They just used the word of God so that they can recruit many followers to gave them money through donations.
What can you say about this? All opinion is accepted here.Thanks!

That is so sooo BAD!!! Using God to get money from others and using it to their own personal agenda is worst than those of internet scammers, robbers or thief!!!
Yes there are some so called "religion or organizations" that are doing that but of course not all...

Sure do, religion is now a business. using their god's name just to have more money to make their homes a castle. i don't understand why these followers couldn't see what their "master" is doing to them. or are people just too blind to see the reality and can't differentiate the actions of their master whom they worship as their "saviour". poor people, can't even think for themselves that they would allow other people to take control of their life.

I think this is one of the many reasons for mainstream religion yes. Then royal families take advantage of religions, saying they are divine people, chosen by God to rule. Then the kings and queens can control people, and make tonnes of money. Even today, the British Royal family still has power, which in my opinion makes me wonder if people even question why they still should have a lot of power and wealth.

Yes even during the time of Jesus religion was being used to gained lots of gold,and maybe now a days still this doings continue.I am not pointing to a certain religion but all I see is,yes it was being used for business.

Eventhough there are many PEOPLE using religion to earn money, it's not mean that we will stop believe in GOD, huh.
