I do not know if MyLot is the right place to express this. I am just soo tired of my work! My boss is rude! My future boss is even more rude! I am a CPA and act as a team leader in our team as I am the one entrusted by my boss of almost all works yet I have the lowest salary in the team since I am just a fresh grad when I started. After one year my boss promised that I will be promoted but I don't care of that promotion anymore. I want to live a harmonious life. I'm so tired of being treated as slave where in fact I am the one doing most of the works and I can say that without me the team will no be as stable as now! I want to resign now!!! I think its time to find a new job! Its hard to give up a big multinational company but I can't handle it anymore! Its over!

Getting a boss from hell is the worst thing that can happen to you. You see the guy everyday and have to follow him even if all you want to do is whack them on the head. Leaving is always the best way to cope with these kinds of people. If you like your work but dislike your job, is there any possibility for you to make a lateral move, say to another team?

Moving to another team is the best way. but the rule is that you have worked at least 1.5years in the company. This month is my anniversary. I have 6 months to wait before I can transfer but I can't wait anymore. I feel like I need to do something.

I understand what you mean. I used to work for a call center agency and boy I have bosses from hell. We have very demanding clients and customers alike and everyday for the last 2 years was very stressful that I decided to quit since it was not healthy at all. Why don't you try an online venture? I did, I signed up for freelancer.com and got hired and I make pretty much the same salary every month and even much more depending on how many hours I work, it is also tax free and stress free! I can work anywhere and anytime no race against time or boss. JUst give it a try mylot is a good place to start with and also dear you can find useful posts in here that can give you ideas on sites that are paying well.

I agree with candy, you should give a try for mylot but also at least try to look for a job while you're in there, then resign if you feel that the other company is a lot better. besides, you don't want to end up killing your own boss one day for too much depression from work. the work of a boss isn't easy either yes they have to be resolute but i guess rude can give negative impact on the employees such as yourself.

Thank you Candy and Letran. I am exploring some paying site out there but I still have to find a new job if I will be resigning to support my daily needs. ):

The same thing happens to me .I don't like my boss,he always ask us to do extra work after work,if we finish work on time,he would say you should spent more time in company,if you don't spent ,you can't deserve for big things.sometimes,he says to me "you should take the company as you home, spent more time in there".his words make me very depressed, because his meaning is something like i don't do my work seriously.in fact ,we never off duty on time, our apare time is very little,we are often asked to do extra work on night and saturday and don't have annual holiday leave.i feel really unhappy and want to quit.it's time to think about other job.

Not so fast young man !
you say that this is an MNC and you want to quit it ?
come on, you have a lot of growth opportunities here.
You have to speak for yourself, if you need to survive.
just let your boss know that you are not getting paid enough.
make him realize your importance. Do not do other ppeople's work, guide them in doing theirs. The must requirement for a good leader is to draw work from his team. Maybe that is way you aren't getting paid enough.
Maybe your boss is making you to realize this the hard way.
Just speakup for yourself and demand work from your team. I am pretty sure that you will succeed this way.
ALL THE BEST
Regards,
Ash

You may not like my answer but........You are only a slave to your resume'. Climbing up the social and corporate ladder is completely up to you and you alone. Build a resume', say nothing negative about your past employers, post it on web sites and they will come. No one can keep an employee for five years and say they weren't worth the paycheck. They can try. If you have coworkers who enjoy working with you, start harvesting contacts/references now!

Thank you grayxenon! Maybe I'll just accept whatever job is available as long as it will not be lower than my current salary. What is important to me now is the people/boss that I will face every day of my life...

Hello there,
i guess you haven't read some of other's discussions, people here had been expressing their thoughts, feeling, views and frustrations in life. but no foul words, since it's not allowed.
Don't worry, you're not the only one who expressed that feeling. but the question is, what about those of your team mates??? do you care about them? don't they care about you? what about them when you quit your job.. i believe you are doing a great job as a team leader. i understand that you're emotionally upset with your rude boss. my brother thought the same thing, but he didn't resign even though the company broke their promise of promoting him, that's because he actually can't quit knowing he has family to feed and expenses of bills to pay. not to mention the lack of job opportunities here in our country despite of the job fairs.
i believe you're commitment is admirable despite of your boss attitude but remember, it's hard to look for a job now a days. so,you better think twice of resigning, but if you really wanted to find another job then try to look for a job while you're still in that company. if you get hired, then that's when you resign.

That is correct. I will not resign without new job waiting for me. I love my team mates - but they are also resigning. Actually there are lots of new hires that resigned after a month. It is only I who stayed. Its just that maybe this is the end of my patience...

You don't have to work for your team. Let them share and be part of that so called "team" that is why it is named after that word anyway. And if you think you are underpaid and overworked with bosses from hell. Get a new job dude, you are a CPA and there are a lot of companies that would consider your knowledge and experience.

Thank you dheckerz. The team actually is good. Its just that almost all of them are new hires because most of my former team mates have resigned already because they couldn't take it anymore (I'm referring to our boss).

If you think that working on that company is already injustice for you then I think it is time for you to GO! There is nothing wrong to be practical in the first place. But may I ask you do you love what you are doing?

I love my team mates but I do not like my work because it is very weird! Weird in the sense that is is very unique and that you will have to study it as if it is a new course. Its not purely accounting and one of my reasons also of resigning is that I want a more accounting work so that I could use well my field of expertise.

I know how you feel. I had a two-faced boss (supervisor) with my first work. He was so nice to me and all, but he was really back-stabbing me. He was inetntianlly bad-mouthing me to our manager! boy I hate him so much.
I left that work. Though I enjoy it very much and have a lot of friends there, I just quit. I can't take anymore lies and rumors that are spread about me.
As for your case, if you can't take it anymore, best to find another job first, before quitting. This might also trigger a quick promotion and a raise, because as you said, you are really valuable in you team.
If you think that the promotion and raise are not worth it at all, then it really is time to leave. working in an unhealthy environment will get you.

Thanks you! That is a very good suggestion. I will keep that in mind. Transfer me to another team or else I'll leave.

See, it's this reason why I'm self employed. I started in the family business of Plaster Contracting when I was twelve, and I've been holding the weight of the family all the way up until now. If you want my help though, this is what you do. You always start at the bottom of the totem pole, and you have to work your way up. Just keep working hard, soon you will be payed off.
