If you are rich...will you give inheritance to a pet?

I read the news of the death of a millionaire heiress who not only give lots of money for inheritance to her pet but she also give millions to her personal bodyguard and to other house help in the mansion whom she owned. It is also noted in her will that they can lived there as much as they want. But he only give so little to her own flesh and blood...his own son. It doesn't take a genius to analyze between the lines that the mother and son relationship is in conflict...for whatever reason I don't know. But still giving much of your inheritance to a pet and to other people instead of your own son is odd. If I were on her shoes I would rather give the money or distribute the money in terms of livelihood to the poorest people in my locality instead of giving it to my pet. And instructed one of those people to take care of my pet. In this way I have not only help my pet but the poor people as well. How about you...will you do the same the wealthy woman does or you have your plans about your inheritance...and if you have what could it be? Please share and thanks for reading.

No, that's ridiculous! I will leave Richard, my cat, with a good guardian and enough $ to make sure he's taken care of. I will leave actual $ to my children and other social justice concerns.

I heard about this on the news and I thought it was really sad. I have nothing against animals and do not like to see them hurt or mistreated, but I do not think that I would leave my pet an inheritance. I would make sure my children and family is taken care of and I would like to leave something for my children children. I also would give a large donation to several different charities and churches. I would also set up a scholarship at several schools to help others who may have the grades but not the funds to continue their education.

So the woman filled the whole circle excluding the central part which is her son. The sad thing is that no law forbid this kind of act or is it there? Because the house aides are now rich, what they are planning to do? Will they leave the woman's son without giving back the wealth that their original master bestowed. That is crazy like humans have no conscience at all. Why fear to do what is right?

If I was a millionaire and had a pet I would not give a large sum of money to the pet. I might put enough money for the care and welfare of the pet. I'm sure my house help will get some money. My children would get a large sum of money. If they were doing stuff that I did not agree with I might put stipulations on the money and have that money go to charity if my children chose not to follow my stipulation.

Yeah, I heard the news too. Actually, I was shocked, anyway... I don't know what to say, it's kinda waste of money to give that a larget amount of them to her pet, though she might love her so deeply when she's alive. It's said that her son was planing to bring a lawsuit against his mother's former housekepper who gained a lot of money too from the millionaire. Well, If I'm rich, I guess I would never give inheritance to a pet...

Hiii there Well yes i can inherit my wealth to my pet and to my maid and to my bodyguard. It all depends upon kind of relations we have with these people. If they are the one who are with you through thick and thin many years when your son, your own daughter turn their back on you then why now.I have seen such a things happening in this world.Stranger do come to help when our own people turn their back and then these strangers become our new own people.

I love my pets but I can't see myself leaving an inheritance to them. How could they spend it? The inheritance would not have much value then. Give your love to your pet. that is all they want.

The millionaire heiress is a wise woman, she thought about her son's future. If she gave her son too much money, for a young man, this will change his life, and it will give him many bad habits.but she gave him proper money, and the young man will keep his good habits and he can earn more money. He can have a happy life.

Blood is thicker than water. If I were in the shoes of that millionaire, I would still give what is due for my son even if our conflict was really terrible. Or else, I would donate that to charity institutions so that her wealth can benefit many people. Yes, I can give also to my bodyguard, helpers but definitely would not give it to my pet. A pet only needs tender loving care but not wealth.

No, first of all, pets do not really understand the concept of money, and second of all: pets do not live for that long, and who can inherit a pet? If you love animals and you want to give your money to animals it is better to give it to some kind of animal related charity, that looks out for a lot of animals, than to a specific pet, in my opinion.

Herro lyzabelle I can see why the person made her will the way she did. The help at her home took care of her on a daily basis. We don't know what kind of relationship she had with her son. They may be estranged. Her pet gave her something no other person gave her, unconditional love. The house-help will continue to take care of the pet. I would probably do both, take care of the people who cared for me, my pet and some to some charities. It would depend on the relationship I had with other relatives, direct, etc. how I treated them in my will. Prosperous mylotting

Well I do believe that we should preserve other animals also. But if I where rich and I would give away my inheritance, I would rather give it to an institution that take good care of abandoned animals, at the same time I will give my pet on that institution. In this way I can not only help my pet but other animals also.

thats really a funny idea, giving an iheritance to a pet rather than your own child...its a waste thing to do, if a rich person doent really like giving it to his son, well a lot of people are really in need of that money, rather than giving to it to a pet that cannot benefit from it, he might as well donate it to charities, in that way his money wont be out into waste, and who knows he will be rewarded in heaven for this good intentions in using his money...

If I was rich, I would never, ever give a cent to my pet. Even if they had saved my life, they don't understand monotony values, and it would only piss off my relatives.
